I can't afford that much ;) , but I would still love to see some pics of her if you have any. Thanks & good luck! |
You are breeding a 3.5lb female??? how long have you been breeding? hasn't anyone told you the risks to breeding a female so small are huge, she could easily die. would you consider selling the "mom" and getting a larger female to breed (at least 5 lbs)- many people here buy adult dogs (at a reasonable price) but please for the safety of your female, have her spayed... and please have the puppy spayed before you sell her, for her own safety and livelyhood. Do a search on these forums for Wizzard of Claws, and you will get a feeling of what people think about those that breed tiny, tiny females, and the risks.... there are many good breeders on this site, they have offered their knowledge to many people, I am sure if you asked them in the breeders section they will share with you the risks involved. I would think that admin wouldn't want to promote breeding such small females and let this post remain- |

There, I said my piece as it is getting so tiresome to see this go on nearly every week lately. |
Yorkie Talk never minds everyone's opinions, just as long as no member get's personally attacked. So often, it is interesting and can be a time to learn when we read member's opinions on certain subjects. It can be a great tool, but again, just as long as we use caution and insure nobody is attacked personally or bait the thread to cause hurtful controversy. With this said, have a great happy YORKIE day. :D |

I didn't attack anyone, I also kept my mouth shut on other aspects of this ad, since they have been discussed already several times lately. I don't know if the person breeding such small dogs knows there are risks or not- but I do know that there are many good breeders, who have the knowledge and links to provide this person with the information if they didn't know. |
Do we Have to go down this road AGAIN? Let her post.....geez! |

I agree. I am new here (well, not here long) and I have seen so much of this. Some of us have tinies . When I posted my baby's parents weight, some people went after my breeder big time. I have found her to be every bit as knowledge as the breeders on here and it was just uncalled for. especially with me being new at the time. I love my little dog and just so people know, when he gets old enough and I find a suitable female, he will be bred. I have researched right and left. I am still researching. When I decide it is time, I will be fully aware of the risks and will take all precautions necessary to have a healthy mommy and pups. I think the attacking post is the one that should be removed if anyone is. But that is just my opinion and opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one. |
This "opinion" to me (that breeding tiny females ok) is JUST like someone posting that they're abusing their yorkie and someone saying that its ok. My opinion only, of course. |

I am not sure but I feel that many people who are seeking these tiny bitty Yorkie's do not understand the risks that possibly the tiny Mother Yorkie's were placed in. With this said I would hope that if they did understand, they too would be against placing any tiny breeding bitch in such a risky situation. It saddens me greatly really. :( |
Point taken...countepoint taken...really no more to be said. :aimeeyork |
I have a little girl oh, honey, I am not offended. Just stating my opinion. I will have to get a small female. I think Ceeby is going to be about three pounds so I figure if i get a four pound galfriend for him, it will be okay. Course, I still have a lot of research to do on breeding. period. Ceeby is going to have to really grow tho, to make three pounds. he is eleven weeks old and under one pound right now. what he lacks in size, he makes up for in personality and sweetness. |
