Larger Yorkie or Biewer Boys - contact me! I'm not particularity "looking" for another dog until next year possibly but I'd love to own a Biewer or another Yorkie. My only thing, I prefer them to be 7 pounds or more! And it seems to get one from a reputable breeder, theyr'e all under (which is standard, I know) but my Jackson is 12lbs. So if there's anyone needing to home a pup or adult who's on the bigger side, let me know. :D |
Please share... Hi Britster if you do get any information would you mind sharing. We share the same mindset about wanting the larger than what's hot size of the yorkie. I prefer sturdier myself. I'm going to look at a rescue on Saturday and he is 10lbs...I hope he's the one I'm looking for and within the next year I hope to add a furry brother or sister our family as well. Keep looking in the nursery or Yorkies/Biewers for sale threads. When I was looking to add a new puppy to our family I ran across several large Biewers for sale. Cosmo may get to 7 pounds which some think is large for a Biewer but the standard is 8 pounds. Sad that most people want a tiny puppy. Trust me..I have a tiny Yorkie (3#) and too many health issues. Good luck in your search I know when you are ready you will find one here on YT. |

I have a boy right now that will most likely be on the larger size.. he is 12 weeks now and close to 4 lbs. He is a teddy bear! |

Good luck in your continued search. :) I too have a 16wk old teddy bear right now. I don't know why everyone is always wanting such tinnie tinys. He should hit 6 to 7lbs. He has such a teddy face we have actually started calling him teddy these past few days. His price is negotiable, we really want to find the right home for him. |

Hi there, I breed larger yorkies, I just started a website its not quite finished. i need to get the parents pictures on there but the puppies are in the photo album. Moose the largest is just like his name. lol He is probably already 4lbs at 5 weeks. The littlest is 1 lb. The difference is crazy. We had a litter of 5 boys and 1 girl and the boy being the largest. And only one tiny female, the rest are inbetween the two. If you have any questions or want to see more pictures let me know. :) |
Thanks all you guys! I've gotten a load of PM's and responses on here. I thank you all. I think my search for a 2nd dog will be easier than I thought :) It's going to take a load of planning and decision making on my part about adding a second dog, and as I said, I probably won't until next year, but now I totally know where to look. I appreciate all of your help so much! |

"plus size" yorkies I bought a female yorkie a few years ago thinking she was gonna stay small and she ended up being about 9 pounds. I have never had a more playful and fun and STURDY yorkie. I know she's not the "standard" but she is definitely the ruler around our roost. ANYWAY, the point of my story is that we have two little boys that will be ready for their new homes the 25th of September. So if you or ANYONE is interested in a bigger boy, let me know. Skitterkat, I agree these larger love bugs can be just as playful and sometimes sturdy is better. The one male I have left is now bigger than his parents. He is so sweet and he "thinks" he is small by the way he trys to always be in my lap. He is weighing in at almost 5lbs at 18wks. I have had someone come look at him but of course they wanted a tiny. All I can say is at least no one will be surprised how big this little guy is vs thinking they are getting a tiny only to be surprised when he gets to his 7 to 8lb mark. |
This thread gave me some insight also as to where to locate a larger yorkie for the future. Not as large as Buddy, however, larger than the standard. Would like 8-9 lbs this time around and female. A small pup is to scary for me. |
