Hi everyone, my name is Anthony and I'm new to Yorkietalk.com

My wife and I are looking for a puppy and was hoping some of you could help us out. We currently have a female Shih Tzu, 3 yrs old, black/white and we're looking to find her a companion. We also have a 9 month baby!!

Here are pictures of "Asia", hope you guys don't mind being that this is a Yorkie website.

Asia is precious...My second favorite breed is the Shih tzu... You could try Kijiji.com I have heard that it was hard to find a Yorkie in your area that wasn't from a pet store.. I shipped one to the Bronx last yr and the new owners said they had looked all over and only found one place to buy a yorkie which was a pet store..PLEASE don't buy from a pet store... Hi and welcome to Yorkietalk!! I live right next door in Clifton. I purchased my yorkie from a breeder in PA. I do not recommend you go there but there are other breeders you can get your puppy from in the tri-state/pa area. The purchase price of a yorkie is quite high however, because of the area we are in. I'd check the YTCA website http://www.ytca.org/breeder4a.html#NJ and go from there. I have spoken with Wingold yorkies before and have heard wonderful things about Joan Evans.

Hi and welcome to YT. I lived in Mountain Lakes for 11 years up until last year. My best friend has 3 dogs, a Yorkie, a Splitter and a Biewer. She bought the last from a great breeder in Delaware. Not too far a drive. Michele Christopher is her name. I think her site is something like Moms Gorgeous Yorkies. Good luck.

I am helping a friend of mine find a new home for her s**tzu puppy ASAP. Due to her newborn's severe allergy to the puppy, the family is left with no other options. WE ARE LOOKING FOR A TRUE ANIMAL LOVER AND CARETAKER. It's heartbreaking to give away a family pet, and as urgent a situation this is for the newborn, it's TOP priority to find a LOVING HOME.

Puppy s**tzu is around 5 1/2 months old - white - male. He's very lovable and friendly - lots of energy! Original cost was over $1000, but family is asking for a very modest price (really, whatever you can offer). Email for pics and additional information !!

make sure you find a breeder close enough to drive to, don't order a puppy on the net, you will never no what you will get. Man the stories you can read on here. + they are puppies not things to have shipped in. Find a breeder that will let you come look and see all their dogs not just puppies and where they are raised. This way you know you are not buying from a puppy mill. Good luck.

Hold it on Topknotchpups in South Jersey. I contacted the owner about a Shorkie. I asked if the parents were tested? Her answer some are some aren't. I asked if I could come and see the parents. Answer, no. Because they don't live with her they live with different family members and she can't impose on them by having people go there to see the parents. That was enough for me.
I did ask other questions, did not like any of the answers.

I have a female puppy will be ready end of july.
Mother is 5lbs sire 3 lbs.
Puppy will probably be about 4-6 lbs grown.
Not a far drive.

I have puppies available still, they are getting big...! They are 16 weeks old, they have even the rabbies, shots up to date, they are good for 1 year.

I have one female yorkie avail. I live in hunterdon county, NJ. She was born April 6, 2009- Currently 12 weeks old. Would love to find her forever home. She is working on housebreaking- So far no accidents.:D Call 908-238-0442 ask for Nancy or Jaime for more info.
