Does anyone know any breeders that Sell older yorkies not just puppies? Like maybe they are retiring a stud or female and want to find a pet home for them? TIA |
Welcome to YT!! There are lots of breeders that sell their retiring dogs or ones that don't get big enough. I got 4 of mine that way. 3 of them were all around a year old when i got them. My last one was 3 years old when i got her as a retired breeder. Kissy, my first yorkie, is the only one that i have raised from a puppy. I actually prefer the "teenagers" as they are through the puppy stages. I would put out a thread on what you are looking for and maybe some of our fabulous breeders here will see it and work with you. :) Good luck! |

Many show breeders sell older puppies or adults. I got Pixie at 13 months from a breeder because she didn't get big enough for her to show or breed. |

An older yorkie anywhere from 9months up. I don't want a puppy. I want a dog that is already house broke and leash trained. I prefer a male one that needs a home. I was thinking about looking at rescues but that's unlikely because my husband is in the military. So I came here to look. I really want a lap dog something to keep my company sleep in the bed but I'm able to leave for an hour or so to run errands and not have to worry if it's barking or whining in it's crate like a puppy would. I also picked a Yorkie or even a mix because there small enough to travel easily with. I would never want to put my dog under the plane if we had to go overseas or I flew up to see family. Plus I wanted a dog a bit more clam than a puppy. |
yorkie young adults I know someone who is selling 2 young adult female yorkies. The daughter is a friend of my daughters. One is 8 months old. One is 10 months old. They are about 6lbs and they just have the floppy ears (although one of them has ears that stand when she wants them to) I think she is selling them for $800 each. I thought about buying them, but don't have the funds right now. There is an ad for them on kijiji.com. Here is the link. Pass it off if you are not interested.
