Hi, we are new to yorkietalk and we are looking to purchase a yorkie or morkie. We are from NYC but we are willing to travel anywhere in the Northeast all the way to the Maryland area to pick up. Can anyone reccomend a reputable breeder in this area? We have been searching for months with no luck so far. Thanks in advance.

I am going to LaGuardia on Tuesday and could bring a little boy with me if you wanted to meet me at the airport. I sell my yorkies for $500, plus would need $100 to take him on the plane with me. Hi I just saw your post looking for a female. I was just wondering if you found your baby yet. As I have one ready to go now. I live in Farmingville N.Y.I own both mom & dad. She is very sweet. She gives you high five with her paw, which is soooo cute. She will not be over 5 lbs. She has all her puppy shots too.

Have you considered a rescue yorkie? Saving a yorkie life is very rewarding!:)

TLC I'm glad you mentioned him. I was so upset by that. Also to the newbie. Welcome to YT. If you are considering a mix (Morkie) please consider adopting. Reputable breeders won't mix breed. If you go to Petfinder.com: Adopt a pet and help an animal shelter rescue a puppy or kitten. and type in your area and Yorkie or Maltese it will bring up all the Yorkies as well as Yorkie mixes in your area. You'd be surprised to find so many Yorkie Mix (Designer pups) up for adoption. Also, if you are looking for a Yorkie you can do the same. You will on occassion find puppies and almost always find young adults that need homes. The adoption fee is usually around $400 and that includes the vetting, spay or neuter as well as shots and heart worm preventative. It's really a win win situation. Elaine

Thanks for the welcomes! actually, i just got a morkie 2 weeks ago through a YT member (thanks so much :) ) . i definatly need to post pics, shes absolutly adorable.

I had tried going to rescues for the past year...and just gave up - they deemed me unfit because i live in an apt with no yard and because i'm considered too young in my 20's. hopefully, that morkie above finds a great home!
