Amanda, I'm glad you love yorkies and that you have done some research on them but in your research you should have come across the fact that there is no such thing as a "teacup" dog. It is just a marketing term used by unscrupulous breeders. I have a 2- 3 lb. dogs and they take more attention and care than my other dogs. If you have Crohns disease, I would suggest getting a little larger dog, like 5 lbs, which is still a small dog but would be less work for you. To find a Yorkie under $400 I would check Petfinder.com: Adopt a pet and help an animal shelter rescue a puppy or kitten., you could find your new best friend there! Good Luck!!

Hello and welcome to YT! You will find a great deal of information on this site and will read of hardships people have suffered with tiny Yorkies. Do your homework before making a decision about getting a dog that small. This site will make it easy to find out everything you should know before making that decision. a teacup, or small or runt, pup will be difficult to find in that price range (especially since so many people want the tinies). IMO, I would look at sites such as petfinder.com Good luck in your search.

Sweetheart I'm not trying to attact you so please don't take this message the wrong way but if you've researched this breed like you say then you would know there is no such thing as a teacup, "teacup" is just a nicer way to describe a runt. And if you are struggling with Crohns disease then you should want to get a standard yorkie with little to no health issues. A "teacup" runt will need lots of vet care which is very expensive, I suggest you do a little more research on the runt of a yorkie litter and the health issues that accompany them and the cost of vet care for a "teacup". I should know I have a 3 pounder and I can tell you in three years that I've had her I spent well over 7000 that is basically close to 2500 per year since I've had her. She does not tolerate the cold at all, she has dry skin that needs a special shampoo, she is on a special diet because she is tiny, she gets hypoglycemic if I let her play too long, she is extremely fragile and I get scared if she jumps off of my couch, it's almost a little bit to much for me to handle I have bad nerves as it is and I constantly worry about her. Trust me it's alot of work caring for a runt.

Welcome to YT Amanda! A word of advice: Take the time to look over the rules at the top of this section. Being a new member, I'm sure you overlooked it, but it has lots of advice and suggestions to aid you in your search:

"We do not allow threads begging for free puppies or looking for puppies at extreme reduced costs. Yorkies are generally from $500 on up, with most being in the $1000 to $1500 range. Please do not post looking for Yorkies below $500. If your budget for a Yorkie does not allow for $500 or more, you may want to look into Yorkie rescues or adoptions of older Yorkies, as they may be better suited to your price range. Feel free to PM sellers with an offer, but the public forum is not a place to beg or whine for a Yorkie, nor post looking for a Yorkie under $500."

As mentioned, looking into a rescue may be a great option to fit your lower budget. You will be hard pressed to find a pup for only $400 due to the costs incurred by breeders when raising a litter alone.

Also, YT does not allow advertisement of "Teacup" Yorkies, as already mentioned, there is no such thing.

You may want to contact some breeders in your area and see if they will consider you should they have a smaller pup in a litter. Or, they may have breeding stock they are looking to retire that they would be willing to place for a lower cost.
