i am crying as i am doing this but just recently afamily of 5 became homeless, with 3 kids under age 7. i know how hyper these kids are and i refuse to let them hurt one of my babies. i also have been looking for a job to help support them and i won't be able to take care of my paris and keep a close eye on her. i just dont want anyone to seriously hurt her or worse. she is adorable and energetic i guess she got that from us, the energetic part. lol.. she just went to the vet tuesday and everything came back normal. she is healthy and up to date on all her shots and is on heartworm prevention. please help me find a home for her. unfortunately i cannot meet anyone past houston i dont have the time anymore since i have many job interviews. if anyone here in houston or if anyone knows of anyone who wants a pet please let me know. i would rather someone from yorkietalk take her than anyone else. but i really need a good home for her. i am asking 850 which is what i paid. if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask.

I am so sorry that you have to get rid of your baby! Paris is adorable. I live in Cleveland, Ohio. I would love to take her if I lived down there. I am sure you will find her a good home. There isn't one YorkieLover who could pass up that adorable little girl!

babyparis 07-26-2005 04:09 PM

thanks i really hope i can find her a home. we are taking this family in and i know how young kids can be especially my cousins. there are going to be 5 kids under age 7 in my house and i know my poor baby is going to be the one to suffer. there are two 1 year olds and 3,4,6 year olds. so you can just imagine the craziness that is going to be in my home.

Midge5353 07-26-2005 04:48 PM

I applaud you for taking this family in and considering Paris and what is best for her. I know that it was a tough decision to make because I was once in that situation with my old basset hound Charlie. I just had to do what was best for him and what made him happy. I really do wish that I could take Paris for you. I would love to have her. She is such a cutie! Good luck in finding her a new home! You are doing what's best for her!

babyparis 07-27-2005 10:24 AM

anyone? she really needs a home

Midge5353 07-27-2005 10:28 AM

As I said before, I wish I could take her!!! She is so gorgeous, but I live in Ohio! I'm sure you will find a good home for her!

ReconsMomma 07-27-2005 10:59 AM

Aren't there any yorkie talk members who would be willing to help this little one make the trip?? I know I would be more than willing to help her make the trip from TX to ohio.

Anyone??

I belong to a great dane rescue called Dane Train. When some one adopts a dog that is out of thier area people group together and help out in making the trip. If there are people along the way from where the dog is to where it needs to go everyone donates a little time and gas milage and gets the dog thier.

anyone willing to help get this little girly into her home??

Midge5353 07-27-2005 11:20 AM

ReconsMomma, I don't know if I can take her. I have to talk to the other members of my house. I wish I could, but I have a feeling my family isn't ready for 3 Yorkies just yet. I really wish I could take her. I can't pay your asking price anyways. Money's tight lately because we just redid our roof, had a patio put in, and we are buying a car. I am not asking you to lower your price. I really wish I could take her, but I just can't. Let me know if there is anything that I can do to help find her a home.

alexandnugget 07-27-2005 11:37 AM

jennifer, maybe you can build your paris a dog house or figure out an alternative to selling her? also try posting a thread in a more popular forum to get a little more attention. you very curagious for helping this family out, and i'm sure good karma will come to you soon enough! i know you love paris and its hard to let go, but there will always be time for another yorkie. goodluck with everything, and i'll do my best to help you find a home if thats your only choice!

txshopper73 07-27-2005 12:11 PM

How unfortunate. She is a doll. Hopefully you'll find a home for her soon.

red98vett 07-27-2005 12:20 PM

I talked to my husband and he is not too keen on the idea - I REALLY hope you can find someone - I've emailed a few friends and hopefully someone can step up OR know someone interested - I asked my aunt but she can't have pets at her place....

babyparis 07-27-2005 02:37 PM

thanks alot everyone. i sure do hope someone can give her a good home. if anyone from yorkie talk wants her i will bring down the price 100.00 dollars less.

has this family looked into any government run programs?????, it is pretty ridiculous that they will become homeless (and as a result you must give up a prized possesion).......one friend of mine got pregnant (twice......... then married the scumbag that got her pregnant, and alcohole abusing jerk) and the other one got pregnant and kicked outl..... anyways, bottom line they were both homeless... and let me tell you there are a WORLD of government programs that help to people that are financially unstable (my friends each got an apartment for $200 a month (including utilities) and the only string attached was that she had to get a full time job !!!!!!! the day care was government run so it was free, and the only thing she had to pay for was the $200 for the apartment and food for her and her daughter..... or the other one with her two kids and lame jerk husband....
anyways, what i am trying to say........ it is nice of you to help out, but i can honestly say that if any of my family came knocking on my door, i would point them in the direction of the nearest gov. facility so that they cuold look into that FIRST
Is there no way that you can keep paris???? have they even looked into these programs?????

I agree! There are many govt. programs that can help the family out and you wouldn't have to sell Paris. I can't even imagine the pain you are going through just thinking about selling her! Is there a place in your house that you can keep her where the little children can't get to? Maybe you could lock off a section of your house by your bedroom or something where the kids don't need to go? I'm sure that there is some way that you can keep her! There has to be a solution!!

babyparis 07-31-2005 09:29 PM

im actually embarrassed to say this but my uncle is very proud. it sounds stupid but he would rather have them on the streets than to ask for help from anyone. the only reason he is coming here is because my husband begged him to. we are actually trying to talk to my aunt and trying to get her to divorce this guy. he is verbally abusive to her and the children do not need to see this. its a crazy situation and i dont like putting our problems out there for everyone to hear but im sure everyone wants an explanation as to why i need to give paris a good home. i've tried finding places to put her and she is too smart. i tried putting a baby gate and she jumps over the gate and barks and barks and barks. she does not like to be confined at all. she is used to having the whole house to roam. but thanks alot to everyone who tried to help.

jesscruz 07-31-2005 09:41 PM

i commend you for helping them! you will be blessed someway, somehow. and i'm also sorry that you have to give up ypur baby :(

winnismom 08-01-2005 06:56 PM

babyparis..... you don't need to be embarrassed nor explain the situation to midge or orinskye. You made a choice to help your family instead of making the taxpayers do it and for this you should be applauded...anyway like i said no need to explain to anyone why you're doing this!!!! Good Luck..maybe if you're willing to ship you might get more interest? I can understand if you don't want to....take care and I will keep you all in my prayers.

I never wanted an explanation!!!! I just made the suggestion of recommending government programs because she has to get rid of her baby. I think it is a SPECTACULAR thing that she is doing. There are not many people out there who would open their home to a homeless family. I don't need an explanation. Babyparis, I hope that I did not make you think that I needed an explanation, because I didn't. I think that you are an awesome person for taking in that family and I applaud you for that. I hope that you can find Paris a new home!

no harm done... well i just decided to ship paris to anyone who wants to buy her. hopefully to someone who knows about shipping. not sure how it works. i need to call the airlines and find out how. but with that said the price will go up to 875.00. hopefully that pays the cost of shipping.

I'm in North Carolina, but I'm looking to see if there's any way I could pull money together to help you and this baby out. My email is babyfiregirl_sfd@yahoo.com if you want to email me.

OMG!!! I hadn't logged on to the Yorkie for sale thread until I looked today at the thread about Bailey needing a home in the General Discussion forum. He is in California and I live in Texas. Pearland, which is less than 20 minutes from you Babyparis.

I really wanted a male (see my thread in the "Neighbor trying to find a home") to find out my background with yourkies). There is a possibility that I can take Babyparis.

I'd need some history and vet records, find out about her temperment, etc.

Also, if you think that your situation is only going to be temporary, I wouldn't mind being a foster mom to Paris until your situation changes. If your uncle is so proud, then he should be doing everything he can to find a home for his family, right? It would be a win-win situation for you, if you really love your dog and don't want to lose her by selling her. I would consider doing this for you, i.e., keep Babyparis for you temporarily.

Let me know.

God Bless you. I know this has to be agonizing for you.

Helping family!!!

If we were back in the old days we would not be questioned about taking care of our families. If someone needed help, it would be there. Instead of expecting the government to take care of our own. Because some people live in an "individualistic society" ( state of mind). It is expected that we are to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps. This is not reality as much as we want to believe that we rely on others every morning we wake up and rely on someone for something. I really hope you find BabyParis a home. This post is not meant to offend you. I very much commend you for what you are doing and I see your dilema. If I was close and I would have the money I would take her too. I hope you come to a resolution. I will also mention again that when we post responses on here is not the same as talking in person or on the phone!!! Things can become be misconstrued very easily :animal36 :animal36

We are looking for a female pup right now.
Does Paris have AKC papers?
Is she up-to-date on her vaccinations. House-training status? Has she been crate-trained?

We are very interested as long as she is an AKC pup. We made the mistake of buying two puppies last year, tiny ones, and both died of congenital abnormalities within 2-3 weeks after we picked them up. Then we discovered that they were “ACA” registered instead of AKC; they were puppy-mill puppies—both from Oklahoma.

We’re in Seabrook.
