Although I really couldnt afford it.I ended up spending alot on my yorkie. But my neighbor got lucky and bought a pup for $500. Her yorkie is 3 years old now and is very healthy. The breeder was a great person who told her she didnt feel you needed to have a large wallet to pay for her pups. She just wanted them to be loved and cared for.I have to say I agree with her. Also I know the vet bills can get costly , but I myself have found myself a great vet.I have never paid more than $50 for shots and checkup. I have been taking my pets to him for 10 years now. Dont get discouraged just keep looking and always keep in mind to purchase a healthy puppy. |
What does inactive under her name mean? I have never seen that before. Did she just never come back? |

P.S. Rules can totally come across harshly, even if that wasn't the person's intent. |
Regardless of the other thread, I agree that the rules can be delineated more pollitely. The poster is not the only one that may read this thread and it is off putting that someone especially an administrator would respond in such a insensitive and personally attacking way. The administrator might want to remind herself that she also can PM the person if she is annoyed with them and interprets what appears to the rest of us as a harmless question as "begging and whining". People ask questions because they do not know and looking at this one response, I would be afraid to post certain questions for fear of such a reaction in the future. I did not think that this forum was about being elitist or mean. It may sound cliche but in this case it is appropriate that if you do not have anything nice to say....don't say anything. |

Why is this thread getting so out of hand?? I newbie came on here looking for a yorkie. We are called "YORKIETALK"......It didn't sound like she was begging or whining, just asking, sheeesh. Not everyone can afford $1000.00 + for a dog. Sometimes it is easier to shell out $100 every few months for vet bills than it is to shell out $1000.00 all at once! I was in that situation. Not everyone can afford a dog from a breeder nor do we want one. Sometimes we want a dog to love and spoil and give a really good home too! Just because a dog doesn't come from a breeder, does this mean that dog doesn't deserve a loving home?? Just because a dog doesn't cost $1000.00 or more, does this mean it isn't a good dog, or a healthy dog or deserves to have a happy and healthy life??? It might be time to think before we type...... |

No one is arguing that there aren't dogs that cost less than $1000. I personally got a Yorkie that was being rehomed for less than $300. All we were saying is that there are rules for posting in this forum that prohibit asking for a dog for "cheap". THE RULE ITSELF, CREATED BY ADMIN. STATES, "NO BEGGING OR WHINING"! The person that posted that rule got attacked. If you guys have such a hard time with how admin. described that rule, take it up with admin. and send them a PM, that way they can explain it to you, and maybe you'll understand why there are rules posted for you to "READ BEFORE POSTING A NEW THREAD"! |

By the way....my response was hardly an attack which I cannot say for your reply to it. You made sure with CAPS and all. You would think the way you got worked up...you wrote the copy which are the rules or something! Sheesh. |
