Love For A Litttle One... Searching For A "Tiny"... Hi everyone.... After much thought, prayer and soul searching over the past couple of days, I have decided to bring a new little one into my world. I've found recently, that my need to care for, and love to give - to a tiny girl, is just far too overwhelming to dismiss. So........ I will be looking to bring my baby home in the next few months and would be happy to consider any available furkids that fit the (probably much scrutenized) profile below. I am looking for a reasonably priced female. (I adore little boys, but a baby girl would best fit into my current fur-family) I am looking for a "tiny". (no ill comments, please) - You may trust that I am well-skilled in the necessities of such special little pups as these sweet ones.... it takes someone with much more compassion, patience, time and love than many folks are capable of, in order to see these "tinies" thrive into beautiful adults and not fall victim to so many environmental and every day incidences that can take their lives in a single moment. I am fully aware of the additional care, dedication, devotion and knowledge of medical attetion these little ones need. My income is certainly not one of poverty, though I am not "well off" either, by any means - but I am capable of paying a reasonable price for a pup as well as providing for any unexpected medical needs which may arise with one so susceptible to injury / illness as we all know "tinies" can be - as well, I am perfectly capable of providing for a new little one throughout her life, with only the best of veterinary care, highest quality food & supplements, as well as all the best in "wardrobe", toys, living environment and luxuries such as these ... I'm so fearful when I see listings for such delicate babies... that they are being purchased as "accessories", simply due to the look and small size of them... without the new owners having a real knowledge of how much more it takes to care for these tiny ones. People are falling in love with the "idea" of a tiny baby... they are infatuated with having a "purse puppy", yet know nothing of how to properly care for them... and the little ones suffer... I prefer my girl to be 2 lbs or under.... am not looking for a young puppy, but rather prefer her to be between the ages of 8 months and 2 years. Coloration, coat texture, or even whether she is sickly or well - has no impact on consideration. I am willing to take in a little one with special needs or medical concerns as easily as I would a healthy young lady. I have no preference and am well prepared to accept either reality. You may find much information on myself and my experience with a tiny one simply by doing a YT search for "Natalie" and scanning my posts. As well, I am happy to provide any information you may require in order to find me as a suitable mom for your little one. Please contact me, either by posting here or via PM with any information regarding a little girl you feel may find her way into my heart and family! |
I wish you the best in your search:) |
Hi. You may want to try www.petfinder.com. Since you are looking for a an older pup this may work out for you, especially if you'd consider maybe a 2 yr. old. I've seen quite a few little ones on Petfinder where the rescues were looking for experienced Yorkie owners. I'm not sure about 2 lbs. Wow that's tiny. My lilly is full grown at 3 lbs. and let me tell you she's tiny and by the way she was a rescue. We got her at 13 weeks. The rescue had over 100 applications on her but wanted her in a home that was Yorkie experienced. Best of luck to you. Elaine |
Best of luck, Dena. Any dog will be lucky to be adopted by you!! |

Good luck in your search. I hope you're able to find a baby to put in your loving arms and help mend your heart somewhat from your loss! |

"We adopt to homes in NJ, PA, MD, DE and some areas of NY, VA, CT. We receive hundreds of applications and adopt to less than 3% of those we receive. We hope that you are in the top 5% but if you are not, there are millions of dogs in shelters across the country who need you. Visit your local shelter today!" One, I am not in their adoption areas.... and two, at almost 3 lbs at 4 months old, she'll likely grow to be 5 - 7 lbs, I'd guess. I also saw little Ricky, who is beautiful.... but ... (other than he is a boy) ;) I have both children AND large dogs.... so no chance with that rescue either... As well, while I certainly am willing to take on a special needs baby, I don't think I could venture into a 900.00 adoption fee for a little guy with Legg-Perthes in both hind hip joints who could need further surgeries and rehab. (I hope that doesn't sound horrible!) |
Dena, I hope you find just the right baby that you are looking for. You sound like a wonderful mommy. |
Thanks everyone.... I'm sure she's out there somewhere! I also wanted to note that registration, or lack of, also has no bearing on my decision... |
Deana would you want a baby that would be a bit bigger? I think finding a tiny is a bit harder. |
3 Attachment(s) Coloration, coat texture, or even whether she is sickly or well - has no impact on consideration. I am willing to take in a little one with special needs or medical concerns as easily as I would a healthy young lady. I have no preference and am well prepared to accept either reality. There is a little girl, I had bought and had to return because she was very sick......she had worms(alot of them) and God only knows what else though........this was in Dec. and I haven't talked to the lady anymore........She was tiny and sick:( :( The last time I talked to the lady she said that she didn't know if she was going to be selling her because she had a bad case of her sugar dropping, I think she has anemia because of the worms. Your baby Natalie was adorable.............I hope you find a beautiful tiny girl:aimeeyork \ Anyways this is her picture:( This really broke my heart:( |

I remember this.... and felt SO bad for your heart.... she did indeed look like a weak little one and I remember wishing I could bring her home even then! If you talk to her breeder and she still has her, feel free to have her contact me at: mom2babynatalie@aol.com She certainly needs someone to give her some extra care! |
Dena, Please excuse me for what I am about to say as I truely don't mean this to be rude or mean in anyway. First I want to say how very sorry I am for your loss of Baby Natalie. Secondly here's a few concerns about you wanting another little girl sick or not: Didn't you have a difficult time paying for Baby Natalie's vet bills and they were paid thru the generosity of quite abit of YT'ers?? How would you care for yet another little girl who could have issues that can lead to yet more vet costs should you have another one with health issues? Surely you can't expect more donations from the generosity of more YT'ers would you?? Ok I hope you take what I have asked as just a few concerns and not as a personal attack. I truely am only saying and asking what I am sure alot of other people are wondering when they see your post. I think alot more people may help you if they had answers to some of these concerns. |

While I was hit quite hard with the reality that my little girl was so suddenly and unexpectedly ill, (since I was told by the "breeder" that she was a perfectly healthy 16 week old pup from healthy parents..... okay, so I was far too trusting... I could see she was malnurished and covered in parasites, but was unaware that her health issues went much deeper...) - yes - I found myself in a bind with regard to how I would come up with the much needed funds on the spot like that..... not to mention, I was sleep deprived, emotional and utterly distraught at the thought of losing her.... but, in the end.... I managed to cover her expenses in order to get her the immediate care that she needed .... Natalie was provided with top quality veterinary care and money was no concern when it came to recommended testing and medical procedures.... I held back nothing when confronted with each Dr's "estimate" and said each time... "whatever it takes to make her well... DO IT!"...... As well, you may trust, that never again will I bring financial matters to this, or any other, forum. At this point, having experienced what I have.... I am well prepared, just as I said, to care for the little one I'm looking for - regardless of her condition. I am fully aware of any limitations I may have with regard to financial burden and what I can realistically provide.... In considering a "special needs" pup, I would make certain that ALL of her needs would be met.... if I were unable to do that, I would certainly have to leave her care to the current owner, regardless of the will of my own heart. As for the recent new addition, yes... I did bring home a little one a couple of days ago.... and she is, and will continue to be, cared for in a manner she has never known in her short life as a "kennel dog".... Whether I bring one, two... or ten angels into my life - each is welcomed with an abundance of love, devotion, dedication and far beyond the "basic necessities" of quality care. |
Good Luck in your search!! Bless your heart, Dena!! :) |

Dena, this may not be what you're looking for, but I know of a beautiful little girl who is about 7 or 8 months old and weighs right under 3 lbs...she probably won't get much, if any, bigger. She's very healthy though...no issues. She has champion lines and is gorgeous! If you're interested in hearing more about her PM me! :) |
Good luck in your search. It sounds like you have a very big heart. There are many yorkies that need that special care like you want to give. I'm sure you have already addressed concerns yourself (which is really what matters) If you have the money and inspiration to help a sick puppy, by all means do. We need more people to do that, I wish I could. Please update us as we all followed Natalies journey. Best Wishes.... if I hear of any little one I'll pass it one |
I need to say I Hope with all my heart you do not find one ever that small .. I would never Wish another ever be born Again that suffered like that. If there were you would be a wonderful caretaker but.. I would NEVER want that to have to happen. |

Again though, they are often born to standard size parents... and often are healthy little ones. Of course, this would be my preference. BUT, if a tiny one should come along who is in need of special medical attention due to any of the dozens of illnesses that can come of one being so small - I would welcome that baby into my world as well. |
