Some do have high protien levels......I feed 2 different brands, as what is good for one yorkie, may not agree with another.

My advice to my potential (and I do send a puppy pack home with the food the puppy is on) puppy owners is; You can feed the most expensive food on the market, but if the dog doesn't eat it what good is it?

Each person has to do what is right for their puppy...Research foods and remember things evolve.

what would you say is a good protein level. The one I remember was somebody saying they thought 28% was a little high..??

I use Royal Canin 28 and Eukanuba YT.....

Now, I'm thinking that you are asking this question in relation to Bile Acid Levels, correct?

more so just to get an opion. I've studied different foods, and just haven't decided what I wanted to try. I need to find out what he's eating right now..

All of mine have been raised on Royal Canin Puppy and graduated to 28. With the exception of 2 of my females (mother and daughter). Both have had a problem with hot spots and scratched their skin raw....I did a food change on both of the.....whala no more hot spots, scratching and loss of coat.

Where do you get your grooming supplies? I've looked at a couple places, but they don't have the comb with the long end.

Oh dear...that's a loaded question....because I've accumulated my supplies through various vendors and dog shows and websites.

I use all Chris Christensen butter combs...you can go directly on to their site....keep in mind they are expensive.

I purchase wraps/bands and rat tail combs, topknot pillow rests via lanieeltd.com

I make my own bows, crate pads, beds and crate covers.

shampoo and conditioners I purchase at Ulta

scissors....I recommend until you are a bit proficent...don't spend so much money. I started out with heritage scissors that i bought from woodpeckers....http://dogshowpro.com. purchased my home grooming table from him, grooming arm and equipment dolly from him too.

How do you train males from marking around the house. Especially if they've been a stud. Even in Jr, a dog has to be intact to participate in competition..I've never owned a male - we only have a female lab, so I don't have experience with that.

That's what I've heard, but I did't know if there was a way to prevent it.

Mary, here is the pedigree to the dam of two other males. They have the same sire, Durrer's Renior. These two boys from her are two weeks younger, I believe.

do they mark before they're bred? He'll be intact, but won't be bred for quite some time.
