New Judging Directive posted there is a clarification of the new standard posted on the YTCA, to educate the judges on the new standard http://www.ytca.org/frame_index2.html |
Does this mean they have the clout to tell AKC judges what to do. I thought it would be the other way around? Sorry, but I don't really understand how they can tell the registering club how to run it's shows. |

Judges education in reference to the standard is the responsibility of the Mother Club. The DQ to the Standard was written and owned by the YTCA. |
Now after reading that, I can agree more with the new standard. This part: In summary: . DISQUALIFY „X Solid color dogs such as a solid color gold or solid color chocolate „X A chocolate and tan dog or other unusual combination of colors „X A white dog with black and tan markings (parti-color) Makes it very clear. |
Thanks for explaining that. |

That's what I like. At first I was really worried about the blue coats. It's been discussed on here before the correct color of blue. Different judges see it differently. So that worried me that a dog might get DQ'd if a particular judge didn't like it. It makes much more sense seeing it this way. |

As we all know the Standard does leave alot of room for interpretation, even before the DQ was written. Judges have judges alot on their own personal preference. |
