Thanks you Lita. I was lucky enough to have a wonderful mentor, as a matter of fact many mentors to help me along. While I don't turn loose my all my secrets, one of the YTCA Code of Conducts states that we should provide assistance and encouragement willingly to novices and others needing advice and guidance.

Spiked Poodle.

The only Pantene product I use is the clarifying shampoo. Reason as the other products have silicone and over time can do more damage than good. Oh! by the way it is good to do a clarifying shampoo after a weekend of showing and at least once a month.

I couldn't agree more!!!!!! I feel as though I've accidently come across the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!!!!!! I have been holding my breath, not knowing how far was too far... Thank You...ever so much Mardelin. You are truly a gem. :) :) :)

You are so right! She IS like that pot of gold with her willingness to help. Having a mentor like Mary is beyond words. All I have to do is pick up the phone and there's my answer.. (and I do it alot). It's so important for me to do things the right way getting her "grandson" CJ ready for the ring. ( I might add, his coat is beautiful, too, thanks to excellent breeding and learning from her the proper care.)

Mary Ann needs little mentoring. She is not new to the show world, just new to the yorkie world. She was handling dogs before a few of you were born, just stopped to raise her family. I couldn't have placed one of Charmer's puppies in a better show home.

She does know a good dog when she sees one and knows what lines are the good ones

mary ann - you are so lucky. The help that mardelin gives those of us trying to learn is priceless! I wish I had a mentor like that!! :)

I know they're not easy to find! Yorkies are so different from the breeds I owned and showed years ago. It took a lot of research and looking to find what I wanted and then to find the breeding, and the mentor to help me all rolled up into one. Wow!! That was priceless!! Mary is always willing to offer help and answer questions. Breeder/exhibitors like Mary don't come along very often! I am VERY lucky!

Well Mary Ann, it always helps when you have newbies that listen. Which you do very well. Remember you are one of the truely lucky ones... you got me and then you got Lee which is the better mentor.
