Agent - ?

Could someone please explain to me what an "agent" is?
I was referred to this lady for a puppy. I'm confused :confused:

Hi! An agent is a person who is hired to show the dog for the owner.

If you are in search of a pet yorkie, she's in OK. I see her almost every weekend.....If you're looking for a show/breeding dog....it won't happen.....

You're absolutely right....has taken several yorkies to the top 10....as a matter of fact Trish took Smooth to the #2 position last year.

She is definately one of the best! I'm VERY excited as she will be showing my new little boy as soon as he's old enough

OK, I had to re-read this. Right - she's in Oklahoma City. At first I thought you said she was ok for a pet but not for a show/breeding dog (meaning her show dogs weren't good). :eek:

No, I'm not looking to buy a dog for show or breeding purposes - only for a pet but I'm looking for a dog similar to my own in coloring - which has the darker coloring - but from a good, solid, background. I feel in love with a fellow YTers dog (Karen171 - Ziggy) and wanted to get one from her breeder but she referred me to Trish.

Do you know if Trish has a kennel name or any CH lines that I can look up?

Remember exhibitor breeders, don't just push a button and whala, out come the puppies ordered to your specifications....You will most likely have to put your name on their waiting lists and wait for what you are looking for, wish it happened that way. Because if it did, we'd special order a Best In Show every breeding...

Yes, Trish is handling Beaux at this time....I referred Becki to Trish.

She does not handle a slew of dogs at one time.......1 male, 1 bitch and maybe a Special....she has a waiting list, since she's very selective. She only handles yorkies...

Oh I didn't know that - how wonderful! Do you remember when I was asking about these lines?

I think he is awesome - but that it just my opinion and you did a very nice job of grooming him! Soft is cotton, right?

Yes, that's what I was trying to do. I called last week but she was in Oklahoma so I called again yesterday and talked to her. I think she thought that I wanted the pup immediately and that's why she referred me. She said that her 2 litters are only 1 and 2 weeks old and that they don't leave until they're 3 months old - which I said was "fine". I did ask her to put me on the waiting list. I had told her husband last week that I was willing to go ahead and send them a deposit - but he said for me to talk to Lee. I know that you can't just push a button and order puppies to certain specifications but if you've been breeding a long time and have all the info per line - I think you'd have a pretty good idea of what you're trying to produce, right? I know that even within a litter you're going to have totally different looking pups - just like humans. I just like the look of her lines - from what I've seen.

The reason this is so important to me is because with my Mia - I didn't know anything about the breed - just that I saw her and fell in love. Now, after reading, and reading about them I'm afraid to buy from someone other than a well established breeder. Our blk lab was with us 15 years - until we had to put him down - and with God's blessing we'll have Mia and one other Yorkie to live with us just as long. My husband would like a male, but for me - it's about color and temperament :p . Mia is kinda timid so I don't want a really aggressive pup.

I'm just curious... but would you happen to know who the parents are of these 2 litters?

I think you'd have a pretty good idea of what you're trying to produce, right? I know that even within a litter you're going to have totally different looking pups - just like humans. I just like the look of her lines - from what I've seen.

Yes, are so right, but, do keep in mind that This Time does not breed for dark soft coated dogs... on very rare occasssion it does happen, but not very often....She breeds for silk. So, if you are looking for a coat such as Ziggy.....and that's what you really want, you may have to wait a bit longer.

You can definately tell a This Time dog, you can spot them in the ring everytime. I was fortunate enough to get my foundation dogs from her, but it took alot of time and work to prove myself to her.....Without her I couldn't have hit the ring winning with my dogs. The lil boy in my Avitar is a This Time dog "Ch. This Time I'm Here Let's Party" I have a total of 3 This Time Dogs. 1 lil girl in the ring right now that I bred her mother back to a This Time. Another 2 are from my breeding are going into the ring.

Oh! yes, soft coated can mean cotton.......

As far as his head clearing.....my Charmer didn't clear completely until he was about 2.....

Ziggy is just a little over a year old but he's mostly very dark. He has gotten quite a bit lighter...even the hair on the body is changing like your gorgeous Charmer's. It's silvery colored in places now.
