It depends on the coat....just starting out I do 3 on each side....can get it done pretty quickly if the dog cooperates maybe 5 minutes....Now, I have a Ch. that I show periodically, that I haven't the heart to cut down. He's in Special's Coat. I can wrap him in completely in about 20-25 minutes...but, of course he's been trained to stand still. There are about 18 wraps on him. |
ok thanks i was starting to feel bad, i thought it took hours and the poor puppy would have to stand there that long.. whew!! you just eased my mind |

Puppies aren't wrapped, I usually don't start until they are about a year old. That is unless the have an exceptionally fast growing coat....I may have to start a little younger. Now when I first started it did take me longer....I couldn't get the hand coordination thing down, combing parting, grabbing the hair in one hand the wrap in the other and making sure it didn't slip......I was all thumbs. |
well you sure do a great job... |
4 Attachment(s) Hy, my pupy's name is Cameo and he's now 8 month old. I plan to show him. What do you think of him? Do I need to wrap his all body already? And, is this okay? He's my first yorkie so I'm the absoulte wraping begginer This was our first try...I use All Systems products for bathing: shampoo and conditioner. After bathing, I blow him dry and put lanolin oil and than wrap him (sorry about my english, we're from Croatia) |
