What does it feel like? Without being able to touch it, it looks like a slow growing silk.... |
She looks lovely. I don't know why you're freaking out. She's beautiful. Her coat will be what it will be and she'll look how she looks. They are all different just like people. |
1 Attachment(s) it is silky like my male'sAttachment 74180 (pictured here) but it's so sparse as far as the longer stuff there is short hair that is thick and silky that kinda looks like it has broken off, or been cut ( but hasn't) it looks like her puppy coat is falling out and a new coat is coming in,weird i know her facial hair is really short naturally, will she ever grow? |
Awww....I've seen your threads and while I understand how you feel.... I keep thinking of the words - Que Sera Sera....whatever will be will be - I think alot of us had preconceived notions of what we thought we were getting when we choose our yorkies - but I bet 8 out of 10 will say we were a little off ... I can't comment on her hair ....but do remember my girls at that age and they had that 'in between' hair too - not a puppy coat and not an adult coat... |

If it feels silky, then most likely a slow growing silk. Some yorky's facial furnishings tend to break off easier and some tend to be more slow growing. Don't freak out. Slow growing silks tend to have beautiful coats. |
Don't freak out...she's beautiful...look at that face...she looks like she needs some of your loving...;) ~Marly |

If you want a show dog, then you should probably buy from a show breeder so you know what you are getting. Very few dogs are show quality, and most breeders cannot tell for sure until they are 6 months old or better. If you don't ant to keep her unless she is show quality, then I would consider rehoming her now, and buying from a show breeder. Plus cost is only one of the things you need to consider. there is also size and shape and the set of the ears, the length of the nose, personality. Many many things, that is why you need to buy from a show breeder that can help you choose the right puppy. JMO. |
Well said, Jeanie! And, I'm quite certain that if you do decide to rehome her, someone here would be overjoyed to have her. :) ~Marly Quote:

I posted in one of your other threads that she looked like she had more of a wiry coat. But I do not show nor am I a breeder. Probably I would go with Mardelins opinion since she does both.:) |
