Do We Have What It Takes????? 4 Attachment(s) I have been curious if I have a couple of possible hopefuls. i have never shown before but i am interested. I would like to learn how to get started but i'm afraid my dogs aren't good enough.Attachment 74140 Attachment 74141 Attachment 74142 Attachment 74143 |
I am no expert nor do I show but I can tell you from what have learned. That first pup that is pictured stacked looks pretty nice. His coat looks nice, he seems to have a nice topline , although it looks like you are a bit new to stacking, his ear set is a bit wide but there are plenty of wide earsets in the show ring. The other two , the first one seems to have very nice true silk coat but I can comment on his structure is he isn't show stacked and the same applies to the pup in the last picture. |
If you have the attitude that your dogs are not good enough then you yourself must see something that we can't. You have to know what you want...what is correct and what you need to do to get where you want to be. It should not take a yorkie pet forum to tell you if your dogs are good enough if you truly want to show. I am not trying to be ugly...not my intention at all. I'm just trying to help you. I had YEARS of set backs...doubts...you name it. I had folks telling me that my best of my best should not be bred. I stopped asking those who were evaluating my stock strictly from pictures. I went to the source...a true show person with years of hands on. I took a hard look at my program...I made changes and adjustments. Posting your "feelings" all over a forum will get you no where in the long run. Please take my advice on this. Best wishes to you and I hope you do well in the future. (I think the one dog you posted is very pretty...good luck and never give up if this is something you really want) |
I don't know anything about showing yorkies. But I want to say your furbabies are so cute. |
Sorry, I don't know a thing about showing but, your babies are beautiful. |
pup Look for a handling class and meet other fanciers. Go to shows to watch and learn. Change leads...the collar/ leash is not acceptable for the ring, it breaks the hair off...I commend you for wanting to improve and learn...good luck. |
