New UKC champ 1 Attachment(s) Hi all, This is UKC Champion Lord Tyler of Catawba. He is my little grand son. He is a true terrier in all the sense of the word. We wanted to wait for our proffesional pics to come back , but I layed the proofs on my bed and took a pic of a pic. "Ty" kicked butt this past week and showed like a true champion should. He is still a puppy and is growing coat and getting better with each show. I'm proud of this accomplishment out of Butterfly Yorkies and I know his mommy Lynn is very proud. Lynn has worked hard with Ty and conditioned him and trained him so nicely. She also has a little girl that will be entering the ring soon. My Bridgit is one win away from her Ch and my Rea is climbing the ladder! I have had so much fun showing with my friends Lynn and Laurie. We all feel that helping one another is so very important and we pull for one another no matter what. When one of us wins, it is like we all win. I love you girls! And big congrats to Lord Tyler! Grand ma is proud! :) |
If you all could just see the grin on my face! This little man has done me soooo proud.. I never would have thought that I would have entered the show ring. It is because of friends like Robbie, Laurie, CJ and Melanie that I've got the courage to do this.. There is nothing like showing! It is such a high and when your baby does you so proud it's even better! His sister is going to get out there next and keep me up in the clouds... :) |
Ahhh Lynn, we all have had a grin all week I think! We have worked so hard. We are the only one's who know just how hard. We have endured people who had no faith in us, we have endured folks suggesting that we weren't being done any favors. Ha ha. I have found that hard work and detemination will prevail. Here's Bridgit's win pics from this past weekend Lynn, and Rea's best female pic. She's almost there! And Rea is climbing the ladder. I have a few more show hopeful's in the near future so that's also very exciting! |
2 Attachment(s) Well darn, I didn't post my pics correctly. Here's another try...Bridgit and Rea's win photos: |
You know that I told you a long time ago that I don't care what people tell me. I go with what I know. I knew that my baby could perform in the ring and that he did!! Thank you so much Robbie for the awesome work that you do with this breed and for giving me the chance to adopt not one, but 2 of your wonderful babies!! |

Lynn you showed me a long time ago that you had the "desire" and the "drive". I was once told I didn't because I hadn't been showing my dogs. Well I say to whomever feels that way about me to try it with a young child at your heels! LOL! My daughter is a better handler than me these days! Keep up the good work girlfriend! We have lots of fun times ahead of us! |
Yes, I can't even imagine showing with my girls at my heals... Luckily, I have my DH that watches them.. Although, Savannah, my 4 y/o has shown an interest in showing and will be at the next show with us to show Coco in the Sub-Junior division... I can't wait to get her in the ring.. She just might become my handler... LOL |

We need to get Chelsea to work with her some. She's awesome! She's a GREAT Jr handler. Well you knew that... but would be great to get her to show her some of the ropes like she and Laurie have done with my Ashley. |
Yes, Chelsea does know what she's doing. I would love for Savannah to be just like Chelsea one day... :) |

And I would love for my Ashley to be the kind of handler Chelsea is. I mean the girl is awesome in the ring. Guess we'll be hiring her someday when we're old and tired to handle for us! Yah!:D |
Until then, I'll keep getting in the ring and watching as Miss Chelsea does her stuff... :) |
1 Attachment(s) Did I send you this pic Lynn? It was taken on Saturday I believe. When we were just playing the waiting game... |
No, I don't have that one! I LOVE it! Thanks! |
4 Attachment(s) A few more that I don't know if you have Lynn...if these aren't right size for you to down load I have the originals still... |
4 Attachment(s) Lynn I found these are the last I have and if you need the full sizes just email me and let me know... |
Congrats Robbie and Lynn!! Wow....Ty the Champion....how exciting!!! I bet there are plenty more champions and titles in the future for Butterfly Yorkies!! |
You can bet there are!! Thanks Kristin! Ty started out on one of your blankets too!! :) |
Ty Wonderful news...I am very happy for you. |
Thank you so much Pat! |
Congratulations Lynn & Robbie! Looks like you guys did well. Btw...need to invest in a scanner, Robbie!:D |
Thanks Kimberly! I have one and my scanner is out of commission for some reason.. Since we moved from FL DH can't get it working... I dont' know what's going on... It's sooo frustrating! LOL |
Question......UKC vs AKC I know I appear to know "everything" LOL...ROFLMAO!! But, believe it or not.....I dont.......so on with my question. What makes a show person choose UKC? Rather than AKC???? Does it make any difference???? Sorry, I know I should know this...... |
I haven't chosen UKC or AKC. I've chosen both.. :) We just try to stay local and there haven't been any AKC around me yet. The first one that was was in Winston Salem and I went just to watch to get a feel for the AKC shows. The next one will be in Greensboro in November and I will attend that one. So, to answer your question. I personally, have not chosen either.. I'm doing both. |
Congrats!!! Here on the east coast of Canada UKC has yet to appear on the scene...maybe someday! |
I actually liked learning at UKC.. It's alot more laid back then the AKC is... ;) |

Hee hee, might be more laid back (I like being able to wear my jeans on Sunday's, lol) but they sure aren't any easier. They're very strict truth be known. The Southern States Yorkshire Terrier Association is about to break ground and I am SOOOO excited about this. Yes...we've come a long way baby. Hard work and determination. Lynn, can I borrow your jacuzzi this week? Pleaazzzze |
