High Prices ??? Saw this website...absolutely GORGEOUS dogs with fine pedigrees! I noticed the prices of their pets...$800-$2,500. Not a bad starting point. I also noticed that they charge a lot more for the smaller dogs...$1,800-$3,500. My question is, for finished show dogs, are they asking a fair price? $10,000-$12,000. To me, that seems an awful lot but then, I've never seen finished champions advertised. http://www.rondelkennels.com/nursery.html |
I don't know. They are probagly thinking if you used him to stud 12 times and charged $1000 for each service, you would have your money back. |
Cute puppies! |

  |
Rondel has been around for a long time and have built up a solid reputation, from what I know. They have had some really nice dogs. Their lines go back to, from what I saw, Moonlight, Kings, and Yorkboro. Nice. Prices are a norm. T. |
How often do people sell finished dogs? I had always asumed that they would keep them for their own breeding program. |

Yes the prices are the norm. Rondel has been around since 1963 and not many show breeders can say that! They have some excellent lines and excellent dogs. |
Occasionally if a breeder has too many or if the dog is a little older (ususally 3 years) they will sell their finished ones to make rum for the newer ones. It doesn't happen often, but can happen. And it costs a lot to show - show fee entries times how many times you had to show to get the championship and don't forget the cost hotels, handeling fees, food, car expenses etc... It all adds up! :) T. |
