Some Great News of Lipstik and Darwin at the AKC show in Winston-Salem, NC

YT'ers,

Just wanted to let you know we had a lot of fun at this weekend's AKC in Winston-Salem, NC. Lipstik and Darwin each won first place on Friday, then took second place on Saturday. Then, on Sunday, Lipstik won first place again and Darwin second place. I think Lippy would have trotted better after she won first place, but at the end of the show, I noticed that the lead had tightened a bit without my having become aware of this....so in this regard, it was the handler's(ME) fault. Nevertheless, I was very happy indeed as it didn't look like I was going to be able to show Darwin as he had been limping all last week prior to the show. I think the little pistol gets in all my other children's space and doesn't realize that others may retaliate. So, having said all this, let me just say that Laurie and I were tickled with this weekend's performance.

Here are some picturesof Lipstik that my fiancee took from Saturday's show..let me know your thoughts. I have more will post in a second. Thanks again for letting me share with my fellow yorkietalk friends!

Here are some pics of my boy Darwin, now seven months young. It is hard to keep him still ....need to work with him! But he seems to be a nice boy....

Since we were all showing, Saturday is the only day that I have pics of the show. But they each did better on Fri and Sunday, especially LIpstik!

Maria - great picture of Darwin. Man, he is a handful. Putting up his topknot is like putting a bow on a bucking mule. I feel like I have done a days work when we are finished with him. It is well worth the effort. He is beautiful!

It was a great weekend and our little group did well. I think all of our dogs won something and we all came home tired but happy. I can't wait to do it again.

Glad, I didn't notice you taking pictures. You do such a good job, I am excited about seeing them.

Laurie, how come you avoided the camera? I am shocked I don't have any pics of you. :eek: I think it's because you were sooooo busy all the while I was there! I think you had your whole family there with you, did you not?:p

Hee hee, I know we seem to not be able to cross paths so easily! LOL
I didn\'t show on Sunday. Now if you could have came out on Fri or Sat, you could have seen me running all over the place. I was frazzled on Sat because Rea got car sick, had to wash her then borrow a dryer and she was all upset. Luckily there are many nice people willing to lend you anything you need if you forget something. And I did not have a dryer with me. I surely learned my lesson there and will pack a small one for the future. I\'m glad you had a good time on Sunday. Great pictures!

Poor Rea!! She needs some car rehearsal, poor baby! SOME day we have to get together, girlie girl!:p
