Lipstik won big time at a match

I know it was only a match and not akc (wouldn't that be great?), but got to tell you anyway cause I am so proud of my little girl. :D

I entered her and Darwin at a match. Actually this is where it all began for Lipstik when I met my mentor and good friend Laurie. It seems like forever when Lippy started her showing career at this same match, but actually it hasn't been more than four months. Well I won't keep you any more in suspense .... :p

Today she won first prize in the female puppy class 12-18 months. Then she went on to win Best Female Match. Then, Best in Match in the Non-Professional group. And it couldn't get any better because then she won SUPREME BEST IN MATCH!!!! And of all things, my mentor, Laurie, who was going to enter her three yorkies, was unable to attend at last moment. So, it was bitter sweet because she wasn't there. I don't have pictures from my digital but there was someone there who took our pics with the judges!!! I promise to post as soon as she emails them to me.

I am so EXCITED. :) I know it is only a match, but given that she needs to grow some more coat and she won't win in the AKC because she is at a disadvantage, now I am tempted to enter in the Winston-Salem, NC show next month just for the heck of it.

By the way, my boy Darwin did not do a thing, but he is doing better. Hopefully, he will do well in the Winston -Salem show in the puppy 6-9 class. Wish him luck.

Maria..once again, is wonderful to follow your progress with the kids. This is how it all starts--and what everyone has to do as they go from day one to being the best of the best! Can not wait to see your pictures!

The NCA match is alot of fun! I still giggle when I think of Ashley there with the hot dog crammed in her mouth like a little squirrel, LOL. Bless her heart, she did so good for a first time. I especially liked how Mr. Frampton went out of his way to work with her. Was he judging this weekend too?
