I think you're talking about the pedigree "family tree". But if that's not it I might just be tired and need to go to sleep and let someone else answer. :lol tears |

I think it is well worth the money since we have champions in our lines. I am going to get one on all my dogs. Also, you can "google" the dog's name and info will usually come up about different websites and etc. |

Most of your true showbreeder have over 60 -70 champions in a puppies pedigree they sell. |

No, most show breeders starting out that want to be reputable started with a good pedigree and a reputable show breeder mentoring them. So they will already have that many champions in there pedigree's. I am saying true show breeder's have this many, not wanna be's. If it really is a true show pedigree either one or both of the parents should be AKC Champions and so forth. Hope this helped. |

So this is in a 7 generation pedigree not a 5, correct? What I figured, there was only space for 61 in a 5 generation including the pup. So the pedigree has to be pure champion in order for the dog to be considered worthy? |

 Champion Pedigree's Quote:
No this is a 5 generation on each parent. Sire's and dam's. Leaving plenty of room for 60 - 70 Champions on it. Does this make them reputable. No, showing does make your most reputable breeder's. The ones who do breed for HEALTH above everything, as well as structure, type, movement and let's not forget temperment! If they do not have a wonderful tmeperment then one could not live with them very easily.... And yes, when I started out showing buying my first yorkie I will have to say I had NO CLUE! As the first couple of years went by I thought I knew coat texture and structure. NOT! Now 18 years down the road I still can learn. Do I know more than if I had just been a BYB.... NOT! I would of never learned the important things I do know now. Trust me it takes hard work and alot of time to obtain pedigree's with alot of red in them. I am saying your best breeder's have worked hard and long enough to be able to obtain everything that is needed in a well rounded yorkie! Heck I know showbreeder's with plenty of Champions in the pedigree who I would not buy from as I KNOW the health issue's that go with that pedigree of redness. Now can a NON RED pedigree tell the tale of health and what the yorkies looked like 3,4 and 5 generations ago? I do not think so... If I wonder where a trait came from I can pin point it and figure out how to breed for it or away from it. So you see a very red pedigree tells tales. And a reputable breeder knows how to breed on them properly. I hope this now has made this a tad more clear for those who do not understand. As for those who do I sure it had already. :) |

Judabob is in Florida, the woman's name is Kathleen.. Once upon a time back in the 80's she did show, but does not anymore...she's pretty up there in years now...from what I understand she still breeds however. That's about all I know about that particular line. Were there other dogs or lines you were wanting information on in your dogs pedigree? I may not know them all, but will do my best to find out what I can for you. |

The owner of Judabob relocated from Ohio to Florida (sometime after I got my Yorkie in '95). When I checked out the website (for FL), it lists the original owner. Hopefully that helps? |
