JudaBob Line anyone?
 
I was just looking at one of my pedigrees and noticed the JudaBob. Seems Ceeby is third generation and I already knew that Silk is first generation JudaBob. they both came from very different locations so I am wondering about this JudaBob stuff. i know Silk has old championship lines but i don't think it is on the JudaBob side. Anyone ever heard of JudaBob? Thanks

Last year , I saw Judabob Buddy Boy . He was in a dogshow in Florida .

Thanks. do you remember hs colors by chance? i went to a couple of sites and the dogs had the same coloring Ceeby has now. Of course, I know that will probably change as he gets older. But, the one site I looked at the studs and Ceeby looks just like them. he is looking much nicer now that the hair is growing over his legs. Those little faces were just like his.

Buddy was medium steel blue and gold . Is it Ceeby in your avatar ?

Yes but his colors have changed a little since. That was about two or three months ago. His head is about the same on top but the hair on his face has really lightened up From his eyes down under his chin he is a shiny light gold color. and his back is nearly all a silvery blue. meduim also. I have read on here that they change up to about two years but I really hope he stays the same. His daddy was black and tan but every other dog in his pedigree is Blue/gold.

I started with the Judabob line.. My SugarPlum and Barney were almost all Judabob with alittle bit of Wildweir in the back.. They are both retired now and SugarPlum lives with my parents..

The only thing I could complain on SugarPlum about was she was alittle narrow in the rear.. She had beautiful silk, but was on the lighter side, pretty head.. My Barney was the opposite in color and coat.. He was dark blue with a deep red gold and was modified coat.. I also had one other female that was a full litter mate to Barney and SugarPlum and her name was Maggie.. She had the prettiest head and her coloring and coat were the exact same as Barney.. Maggie also lives with my parents, she was very small maturing out to be 3 1/2 lbs..

My old computer crashed in the fall and I lost alot of my pictures.. But I do have one of Haley and she is a daughter of Barney.. Haley now lives in Canada..

I can honestly say that I NEVER ran into a genetic defect with SugarPlum and Barney! Maggie was absolutely perfect also..

Thank you so much. i don't know if it is the same dog or not but I saw what looked just like yours on a few sites yesterday when I was researching. Maybe they all just have the same hairbow? Anyway, Haley is lovely. I recieved an email this morning from someone who has had JudaBob for nearly twenty years or so and is just now running into problems with them. very discouraging. her advice was if I have something with JudaBob not to breed back to something with JudaBob, Seems there are pigamentation problems. Red and Blue. So I imagine I will be hiring Silk a stud, which I had planned on doing the first time anyway because ceeby is not mature enough. But I had planned on keeping a female from her to breed to Ceeby so i guess that might be out also. Lots to think about and sort out. Thank you for your reply.

I see Judabob all thru Mickeys background . Now is that the dogs names or the line? I also see Ch. seems like that Judabob is either in the names first and or last on every other one. does anyone know?

It is both the name AND the line. I have been saying Silk is first generation Judabob but when I looked at her papers again, her name is JudaBob"s Southern Showgirl. My husband remebered that the lady we bought her from bought her from someone else when she was about a year or so old. Our theory is that Judabob kennel held her back to show and she just didn't make the show type so she was sold for breeding but we don't know that is a fact.

There are many, many AKC and UKC champions in the Judabob line. They are a very old line out of Florida. (I think). What's strange to me is that coincidentaly, I have ended up with two dogs from the Judabob line. Ceeby's great grandpa was a Grand Champion and his daughter was also. I am waiting on Silk's pedigree. Supposedly, she has a lot of champions in her background according to the lady I got her from. The lady told me that Silk was from HER old champion bloodlines so she has championss on both sides.

Thanks this helps explain it a little more. I see Ch in Mickeys pedigree papers but also alot of Judabob in every other name.

My Bruiser has a lot of Judabob on his Father's side, Bruiser is very correctly coated, perfect color, now his father was a hard silk, almost black, with very DARK reddish gold, and HIS father was soft coated...and that is what followed the judabob line. My MIL has 2 judabob girls she bought FROM Judabob, 2 sisters. One is a soft coated girl, but she is "blue" and tan, and has produced only silk, and the other is a light silvery/blue and gold silk, though bred to a soft male produced 2 soft/2 silk pups.. I'll enclose 2 pics, one of my bruiser, the other of the 1/2 Judabob male...his other side is Durrer, Majodian, Camparis, and NicNak.

Thank you for the pictures. Ceeby is more like the Judabob. I am told they usually have the silvery blue and tan or gold. His coat at this time (he is only eight months) is a medium steele blue with light gold. I can't tell if it is silk or cotton but I think it is silk. he never tangles, Silk, my other Judabob is dark (almost black) blue and dark gold. Nearly every one that has Judabob says ceeby is following after them. What is really odd is that I knew nothing about these lines. I am just getting started with yorkies. I bought Silk to breed and because I was told she has several champions in her pedigree but it was a big surprise when I looked at Ceebys pedigrees and found more Judabob and champions than Silk. His bloodline was not advertised at all so I am a happy camper. What a coincidence. Your dogs are beautiful and thanks for the reply.

My little Sebastian comes from JudaBob and Wildwier lines... not oh so recent, but his great grandparents on both sides are JudaBob, with Wildwier the rest of the way back, some more JudaBob mixed in towards the 4th or 5th... and his pedigree even shows some of Natalie's lines... (YT: nlappegard - "Natalie's Yorkies").... (well, not some - just one... "Natalie's Little Peanut" is Sebastian's great - great - grand sire)...

Anyway.... I'm rambling... :p

hello, wow i have some wynsum and wildweir as well. mine are on my site morkie pups for sale, Yorkie pups, Yorkies, Maltese puppies, Morkies, Yorkshire Puppies then click on yorkies, sparkee and beaubeau are the ones i think have the judabob, and steppin up. tugger i think does tooo. i know mercee does...i went on your site, and you have some mitey pretty pups......and doggies....i just love my babies......all of them, i have no favorites....

This is a thread from a couple of years ago, but I sure wish I could find me a nice Judabob girl. Mine are retired now and I only have my male and his daughter.

Dee we only have Judabob in her 5th gen. Oh and Friday finally started her 2nd heat last Monday. I am breeding her with a Male that is sired by Buster.

She was named by Kathleen Parsley so I can't explain the spelling or the TU. She'll retire after her next litter and I wish I had a bunch more just like her---4.5 lb free whelper with beautiful color and conformation, doll face and tight patellas.

I know what you mean Missy has that baby doll face beautiful coloring.I to wish I had more like Missy she's now alittle over weight at 6.Needs to lose a pound so lots more excersize and cutting out snacks.Mrs Parsley only had her and her brother had ready been sold.I did get to see her dad / mom she looks just like her dad both dam&sire had beautiful long flowing coats.She however was diagnosed with luxating patella in one rear leg so I made a very hard decision not to breed her.

My male yorkies great great grandad is of Judabobs! Would love to know more about these champions. I have found 9 generations for my male. Most of the older dogs are champion.

What an underrated breeder she was. She continued breeding long after she gave up showing after the death of her husband while raising a family. My new show dog is out of one of the last of Judabob. He's 8 mos old and just starting to show.
