Good Luck take lots of pics. Hey the I think it was Super 8 right at that interchange nearto the Show Grounds - they had big rooms I mean really really big. Try to prebook a first floor room. They also have a dog washing facility but yuck it was very basic. Nice swimming pool.. Good exercise large areas for your dogs.
Your basic breakfast not much included. But the room has a microwave. Also there are picnic tables and we had lots of lovely BBQ;s there. OMG Bring your own Water !!!!!!! I can't stress enough this. That water out of the tap just KILLS the Yorkie coat.
If you are flying in or something - buy either Spring or Distilled - try it out at home on your show dogs to see which works better.
Bring a Deep Conditioning and I MEAN RICH THICK DEEP CONDITIONER - I use IOD - And now leave it in for 15-20 minutes - and Yes I am serious 15-20 minutes.
The IOD gloss shampoo and Nutrient Rich Conditioner is a good choice. Plus for a Yorkie you can fit both into your purse:D
Do you polish the coat? Bring your big guns out with you !!!
Oh yes if memory serves me correctly - I think you could experience static from the indoor area.... Bring an anti static spray with you. I use Vellus.
If I think of anything more I will update this thread.
BEST OF LUCK and have a Blast! | Quote:

Also electricity might be pricey at the show grounds - not too sure - but I imagine the National Club will arrange for a Yorkie grooming area, and enough outlets for the exhibitors.
Don;t forget your exhibitor entry receipts - this way you don't have to pay for entrance. | Oh my gosh, Gail! You have raised my excitement to a whole new level! I'll be hanging out with Anna Stringer who will be handling our beloved Lacie. I think we'll be staying at the Wildwood Hotel. I'll be driving up to Anna's and will ride with her to the show! Can't get much better than that!!!
Thank you for your well-wishes. I am quite new to showing - we finished my first show girl, Lollie, on St. Patrick's Day, 2012.
Wish you could make it, but good luck at your Blackie show in MD. |
