Her first Specialty Well today is the day for Patience to show in her first specialty and sweeps. Then later in the evening I have 2 girls entered in the puppy match. Pia and Roxie belong to my good friend Cindy Mattoni. They also have the same sire as my Patience. If I can find Wifi I will be on later to post results and maybe some pics. |
Best of luck to you!! |
Good luck! |
Good luck Lori and Patience, keep us posted ....we're rooting for you here in Canada ! |
Good Luck Lori with all 3 girls...can't wait to see what they win!! |
Well this weekend was very eye opening for me. I got to get a taste of what it will be like showing more than one dog. Granted not in the same show but that will be soon. Anyway Patience did very well in the sweeps. She got Best Junior 6 and under 9 months in sweeps and Best Junior in Sweeps. She also took her class in the regular show yesterday and today. She is a very showy girl but she's still a puppy . Our judge today stopped me before I left the ring after he picked RWB and told me he really likes her and she came in the ring like she owned it. I know many might think I am crazy but those words made this weekend that much better because I only started showing a few years ago and up until may had always gone to handling class. Since starting an evening job in May I have had to do all Patience's training on my own. So I am extremely proud. Also Pia got Best of breed puppy in the puppy match and a group 1 in the puppy match. First time in the ring and she is already got a taste of going in the Puppy BIS show ring. Her only issue was a Bulldog puppy that was too close to her rear. Roxie did very well for a 13 week puppy. She hadme taking her around the ring and doing a triangle walking backwards in hiking boots and show clothes. And I managed to stay upright. LOL Next show will be the start of a new direction for me with showing. I have always only shown 1 dog at a time but I will soon be showing 2 or 3. |

I bet you'll always be happy to show more than one. It's really not that much more work to show more, so you might as well make it worth your while. Keep up the good work, you're really doing great ! |
big congrats!! Showing two is definitely much more challenging. |
Congrats showing more than one, I think is double the work..smiles. Happy to hear how well you all did this wkend!. |
Carl, Both girls will be a little more work than a puppy but not as much work as a full coat yet. I think with the connection I have with Yorkies I am pretty sure I will always have at least one to take in the ring. No more show withdrawals for me. LOL Michele Thank you and it was a challenge with taking 2 in a puppy match. But it would have been better if I had help when they both had to go back in. But so glad it was just a puppy match . Gail, Thank you it sure was. especially when the puppy fought me with just putting her topknot in. She's a true Brat and I love it. |
Sounds like you had a very successful weekend Lori! Congrats and hope to see some pics soon! |
