gabbriellew | 03-11-2011 04:53 PM | My name is Ruth and I am a friend of Terri's. I need to clarify some of Terri's original post. While Terri did post the message, I composed it. Terri was sick at the time and I wrote it for her and she simply did a cut and paste. She is now in the hospital without internet and is unable to respond herself and since the original wording was mine, I take full responsibility for having made statements that now need to be clarified.
I stated that Barb Biessel showed Salvation and that he bred to one of her bitches. It is my fault that I did not fully check my facts prior to composing the post. Terri did pay Natalie Nelson a stud fee to use Salvation, but she has no business dealings with Natalie. Being a newcomer, Terri was isolated in a remote area without access to better dogs. As many newcomers are, she was vulnerable to the story that Natalie told her. With poor judgement on my part, I repeated what she had been told.
Barb did take Salvation after Natalie had made many requests over a long period of time. At no time did Barb represent that Salvation in fact should have been a show dog and the breeding that took place was accidental. Barb took fully responsibility for the resulting litter and placed the puppies as pets.
My wording was extremely unfortunate in that I infered by my words that there was implied approval by Barb of Salvation or the breeding. This is most emphatically not the case. The relationship actually ended acrimoniously and Barb demonstrated her good stewardship of the breed by caring for the puppies and ensuring that they were spayed and neutered and placed in loving homes.
I take full responsibility for the post. Any errors are mine, not Terri's. I publicly and sincerely apologize to Barb and to anyone that was in any way misled by my words. I have certainly learned from this and it is not a mistake that I will repeat. That said, I hope that you will join me in congratulating Terri on her justifiable pride in her lovely boy Lance. |
