Wrapping - Deli papers? Hi all, Hoping for some opinions. I was on the poochie petite site, and they are now selling these Deli wrapping papers. They are tooted to be better than paper or plastic. Wondering if any-one out there has used them and if you think they are worth the cost? I'm interested in the smaller papers for the face. Thanks in advance |
I am using them now. I have tried all of them out there and have gone back to the Deli Wrappers. I used them as far back as the late 70s. They hold better and I have no problems with them. Now for my boys - I will had a plastic wrap over them when needed. I use the smaller "tissue" for the face though. |

I've used them all and have always gone back to Deli wraps! i've used the plastic over the deli wraps but too much work so I always prefer the Deli wraps...they are cheap at Sam's $5 bucks for a box of 1000 |
I use the Deli wraps, on Sebastien I used plastic over the deli wraps....to deter him from chewing them out. I get mine by the case at ReStockit I think there were 10 boxes of 1000. I will have them forever LOL |
I've tried them all, and I love the deli wraps...however I have learned that not all deli wraps are created equal...some are so stiff and too waxy. I do like the Marcal ones the best, much easier to wrap with and not too heavy that they slide out of the coat. |
Ok quite funny but I wanted to practice wrapping so I wrapped my girl of 6 months.(She has a really short tail but I still will take her to the shows and maybe show her once in a while). This was my first solo attempt. I have watched it on you tube and by my mentor once. I did a great job and all stayed in. However, I put her in with another pup as they are together all the time, and this morning, well I am sure you all guessed it...wrappers and bands all off. Thank goodness they did not damage her coat that I can tell. Now she had on a wrapping jacket so I thought that they could not get them all off...but alas they did. Am I going to have to keep her in a different area away from the pack? :( she will hate that. When you have a dog in wrappers do they have to be separate? |

My girl is a messy pottier to say the least about her...lol Like she thinks a potty pad is something to sit on, lay on, even eat on. I jokingly call her miss piggy. She also gets "cling ons" daily and urine down her legs too and becomes a sticky mess in just one night. I was hopeful that the wrapping would help with that, plus at just shy of 6 months her coat is close to the floor...approx. an inch from it (she has shorter legs, weighs almost 4 pounds, and has a very fast growing coat) it may even be modified, the jury is still out. So before I gave up hope and giving daily baths are drying her coat, I thought that wrapping would be a good option, plus I need to learn so she became a guinea pig..lol..so to speak. My other 3 think that the wrappers are like a hide and seek game with her. I will rewrap her tonight and just separate her at night and see if that works.... |
