Crown Classic in Cleveland Anyone going to the All Breed show in Cleveland? The dates are Dec 15-18. I'd love to meet those of you that are going. I'll be ringside this year taking notes watching the Yorkies..lolol Hugs, Irene |
I'm gonna try to talk hubby into letting me go. This will be my first dog show to go to if I can make it. My inlaws live in Painesville and we are visiting for Christmas so maybe I'll be able to go. :happyboun |

cleveland show is ther 1 day yorkies will be at |
show Cleveland is where my first Yorkie Chopper was finished..he cocked his leg on the side of the table and peed a big puddle.. The judge said he was a very naughty boy, but still deserved the major that finished him. bearded1957..if a show is an All Breed, it means all breeds are allowed to attend..so there will be lots of Yorkies at a big 4 days show like this..enjoy. |
Info on Show This is the link to the Crown Classic. If the snow isn't too bad I will go Sunday because they judge Best In Show that day also. Fred Bassett will be judging the yorkies and The Best In Show. If anyone will be there Sunday let me know I am going to try my best. http://crownclassicdogshows.org |
Also infodog.com has alot of info and I just looked and there were only four yorkies last yr. on Sunday I don't have the time to look tonight to see what is the best day. There are usually lots of yorkies. |
The entries for yorkies last year were Thur 8 Fri 10 Sat 12 Sun 4 I think I may try for Saturday instead - I have plans for Friday |
Bumpity-Bump-Bump  |
I'm going to try for Saturday too. It probably will be the most crowded but that's the only one available for me. Hopefully it won't snow too bad, we'll get together Irene for sure!... |
I'm not going to be able to make it but I just got this info Thursday 15 yorkies in Ring 8 @ 12:15 Friday 16 " in Ring 16 @ 1:00 Sat 16 " 26 @11:15 Sun 19 7 @11:15 These times are not exact since if dogs don't show up it goes by faster and if things are held up for one reason or another it takes longer. Have fun. |
Thanks Joan. Sorry you won't be able to make it! Hugs, Irene |
dog show can't wait to go. any vendors that are a must see? hUBBY IS ONLY GIVING ME 2 HRS to visit.:( |
shows How were the shows??? |
Hey Pat! The shows were a blast. Molly from Cloverdale Yorkies flew in and went with me. We went from open to close all the days. We shopped till we dropped too. I bought some wraps and some bands. I bought some products to try on my ShoPo too. I can't wait until I enter my first show. It was amazed to see only one bred by exhibitor entered all 4 days. Can't wait till 2006 I'll be going to many more shows! Thanks for asking. How's your ShoPo doing? Any recent pics of her? Hugs, Irene |

Irene, you really made it a great trip with all four shows. Ask Pat but I have always heard not many wins are from "bred by exhibitor" Things may have changed but Pat would know. I bet you are so excited to get out there ....it was a dream of mine that you can fullfill ok. Both of you have a wonderful holiday season and I hope 2006 is good to both of you. Irene you may run into Pat out there one of these days. |
Joan were you there? I didn't think you were going. I hope I didn't miss you. Ok...I'll so for you too :D. We live so close Joan, I'll have you over one of these days. After the holidays. My Yorkies and my Biewers LOVE visitors!! And yes. I hope to meet Pat someday. She seems like a wonderful person with a wealth of knowledge! Hope you holidays are wonderful for you as well!! Hugs, Irene |
? Thank you Joan for at least thinking I know the answer to this question...LOL You are correct, most point winners come from the Open classes. Once in awhile you will see an ad in York mag with a statement the dog was finished from the BBE class. If a dog or bitch is not quite ready for Open, they will get some experince in BBE.. I used to enter my first really nice show prospect in it..I was so proud to show off my boy..Johnny Robinson of Trivar came over one day and said..Pat, will you stop fooling around in BBE and put that dog in Open, you will never get any points. |
Irene, no I was not able to make it but would have loved to. I didn't know that you lived near me. Yes, we will have to get together and I have never seen a Brewer and I know I would love them. See I told you PAT would know.lol |
Acutally Info Dog is now showing the results. I just checked them today. I was happy to see an owner handling their own Yorkie win against some of the professional handlers. It was a "Mariah Yorkie" (bred by Peggy Nygard), he won Best Open Dog on Saturday. That gave me some encouragement. Irene PS. Joan, I live in North Ridgeville, about half hour west of Cleveland. |
Good for Peggy Quote:
around so you can just imagine the traveling she had to do. My girls went to High School in Rocky River but I'm quite a ways from there now. North Ridgeville would be a wonderful spot to have dogs. |
Peggy Peggy is still in Montana. I just ordered some Emu oil capsules from her. People swear it is wonderful for painful joints (human) arthritis etc..so I am getting it for my husband. |
Pat, this is the first day I have been on any length in awhile and to think I ran into this. I have never heard of that oil but I am surely going to look into it and tell Sherry Lynn too. Does Peggy have a website: I'll just goggle Mariah Yorkshire Terriers and see, otherwise I know her phone # or email is on the YTCA ( I think anyway) I'll pm you if I have trouble. Isn't life funny - I remembered she lived in Montana and you knew she still lived there. I still haven't checked the results so I am going to do that now. |
