The Italian Resturant at the NYer has good food. Tic Toc is very handy if one doesn't want to go out....or to have dessert late at night or early in the morning. You gotta do the dinner and ice-skating think at Rockefeller Center at least once; great because the Specialty usually falls arount Valentine's Day and they have a dinner and ice-skating special...... Oh! The rooms are larger on the 19th floor. So, if you can request one there. Oh! Since you make bows and the hotel is close to the garment district....you need to venture out to the neat paces and get ribbon and crystals... |
Does the YTCA get a block of rooms or do you go under the Westminster block? Carl, if you venture out to the garment district where they sell the ribbons and beads we might never see you again. :D |

I go to the shows every year, but I never stay over and just take the train in to the City. This year, however, I am meeting friends from out of town and want to stay for a few nights. |

And you're right there are other dog events going on at the same time; so you will see other breeds staying there, however the majority of dogs are Yorkshire Terriers. Westminster is always held after the YT National Specialty...Westminster has so many events going on....Breeder of the year. Judge of the year, etc. But the actual show starts on the 14th and ending the 15th. |

NY can be nasty or friendly... choose what you like to see... room and board... parking... Manhattan is fabulous, but subway or taxi working just fine... *i'm sorry! Where are we? What was the question? |
More than likely I will be there. I don't have to worry about getting a room as that is being taken care of by one of my very good friends and mentor. I am really excited. This will be a first for me all around. My first time ever in NY and my first Specialty. |

If you are used to showing in busy places, lots of spectators then this might not be a huge step for you. The balconey is great, but bring some binoculars to get some close up views. |
I should be okay. I showed at Cobo this past March and that was my first benched show. It was a pretty big venue. Don't get me wrong I love watching but I figure if I am going to be there I may as well show the boy I have for showing. Plus I look at it this way I plan on eventually making it to show at Westminster so I have to get all the practice I can. |

Best of luck at NYC and I hope to meet you |
Gail, Thank you and I am sure going to try. Booking time in a grooming area would be a new thing but I loved the benched show. I just love being able to educate people and spend time with friends and just talk in general. I hope to meet you also. And thank you and Best of Luck to you also. |
