Question about the YTCA NY SPECIALTY Dog Show Is this an annual show? If so does it normally fall around the same time? Reason why I am asking is that as much as I would love to attend this years show but due to the Vietnamese New Years landing smack on Valentine's Day and in with our culture and traditions, no matter where you are currently living you must travel home (meaning to your parents house) to eat the first meal of the New Lunar Year with the family. Anyways I truly would like to attend of these YTCA specialty shows and would like to know how far in advance are dates for the shows given and the frequency of the event. Thank you! |
ok i just went to their website and seen that they have several shows during the year and at different locations so i guess i will rephrase my question...lol.... is the NY Specialty show the largest of the YTCA dog shows or it's the same at all locations? Because I see one in the Greater Kansas City area on March 17, 2010 and this is a lot closer to me...lol...a 3 hour drive. |
Mary, IDK if it is the biggest Specialty but probably so and it is usually held during the same week every year. There is the roving Specialty and it's big also, but IDK yet where it's to be this year , last year was Memphis. In May is the OKC Specialty and that's a another good one. I believe several members here will attend. I usually go and would love to meet you if you make the trip. |
The National is held every year at the same time. The weekend before Westminister. There is a Roving National that is just that Roving and held on different months. 2009 was held in October in Memphis. This year it will be held in October in Las Vegas. The other dates listed are Regional Club Specialties. These are usually held approximately on the same dates year after year....... |

It looks like Kansas City has moved their dates, because it was usually held in August..... |

Mary - please let me know when you hear something. Do you think you'll be going? I know that you're always at the Bluebonnet in Sept so I hope that this show isn't too close to that one. I'd really love for you to be out here. Maybe Mary Ann and Mrs G, too. :D |
