Grooming tables.... I found this grooming table and I'm thinking about getting it for shows but since I can't actually see it, I'm wondering if anyone could give me feedback on if the size is the right size to get and is the price reasonable? Thanks! PetEdge: Master Equipment Grooming Tables with Grooming Arms |
I have that same table, only I got a better deal on ebay bc of free shipping. The shipping on this table from Petedge makes it over $100. On ebay you can find them for around $78 and free shipping. IDK about taking this table to shows though. I've seen them at shows, but would think they are heavy to cart around. As far as size, it's a great table for yorkie grooming. It's sturdy, and has held up wonderfully the three years I've used it. |
I checked out ebay and I can only find the larger size for sale right now. I'm not even sure if this size is too big to drag to shows and I'm pretty sure the larger one is so that's why I'm still looking.... |
That table is kinda big and heavy for carrying around. You might want to consider the folding kind. A lot of people buy from Champagne or Mardel. They have websites. I know the champagne table weighs about 13 lbs (I have one) Cherrybrook sells Champagne, but Phil sells at some of the shows, too (Fitchburg and NY coming up). Prices are lower at the shows than through the catalogs. PM me if you want his number and you can see if he will be at a show near you soon. |
I have that exact table and I love it for grooming. If your looking to bring one to shows you might want to check out some lighter options. If you do end up ordering from PetEdge, google and find some coupon codes. I never order from there unless I get a coupon code so that it at least covers my shipping :-) |
That is larger than what I would want to carry. I use my Snake table to groom on, but I don't know where you can get them now. This is more the size I carry... Therapet Portable Grooming Table 24L x 18W x 30H - Dog.com Some ppl like the larger ones, but smaller works better for me... |

I like this table too - just the right size. I got mine at a show. Oh... be sure to get the grooming arm for the table too. It is a must for me. |

Anyway, his site listed the shows he will be at and the Glens Falls NY one is not on there but I'm going back to check again. I'd be able to save on shipping that way! |
You might want to check out this thread for some good table ideas. I had not even thought about these possibilities. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ing-table.html |
3 Attachment(s) I just had to post this. I have a show coming up and decided I would try my hand at making a grooming table cover. I bought some TransferMagic so I could copy one of my dog's own photo to the paper and iron-on to the front of the cover. Well, today I made it! It did not take long at all - maybe 1 1/2 hours. The material looks silky, but is not. Actually it was just material from a curtain I had used for something else and had this reminent left over. Not slippery at all. I also added pockts to the side for brushes, my glsses, or whatever. Now it looks better than the real table top, which has been drugged to many shows. First table cover I've had in 25 years! I guess about time I made one. LOL :eyetearss Here are photos of it. And you can see the type of table I have by the legs. |

Those little aluminum camp tables from Wal Mart really come in handy for ringside. |
