My Boy is Finally Maturing!

We have been waiting a while on this baby boy. He is finally filling out well. Oh.. and what a personality!!! He has the "it" - thinks he is all that and when he was a pup - loved the ring! So we have high hopes for this guy this summer!! :D

Here he is! These were taken today - in our nice crisp cool clear weather. The last shot was taken in the shade - color difference.

I can't believe how much he and his cousin Ace look alike. Down to the bit of white on their chins!

They do look a lot alike!! It is in the genes - similar look. I know it looks like Trey has white hairs in the photos, but in real life he doesn't. I think it was just lighter gold or some shine. No white though.

Thought I would share this last shot - so funny, slow motion head shake.

He is about 1.5 years now. I love his color too.

He looks great. I doubt Ace will have that much facial furnishings in 4 months time. My boy is such a rubber!!

He might get there - you'd be surprise. Trey does pretty good with his coat except in the mid area. He loves to get his wraps out and pee on his coat. Main problem is keeping it up and away. I think tomorrow his jacket is going back on. This may help more. But he has done better lately, I do have to admit that.
I am so happy he has filled out more and has more hair. After the photos - I trimed about an inch off the bottom. And could you tell I forgot to trim his paws? LOL Thank goodness we were not going in the ring with fluffly fur paws! ;)

I'll be so glad when I can cut the puppy coat crap off of the bottom of Ace's coat. His is rather slow growing like his sire's so it's going to be a bit more time. Ace rubs against just about everything as he walks by it. If you put anything on the facial furnishings he goes balistic. Maybe someday I'll get a show dog with an easy coat, meanwhile I must need the challenge.

Thank you guys so much! I had a feeling that he would come into his own someday. I think now he will do better each month. I hate waiting through the awkward ugly stage (teenager). Trey is 3 pounds 12 ounces. He may be small but so spunky! His sire is about the same size too and is in calendars and a champion. Cici is his dam. Here she is - sorry blurry photo. I will have her out next month showing her.
