I took some photos of Ci right after her bath/oil and she was looking so cute standing there in her wraps (What a girl to do?) I had to take photos, even though she was probably not too happy with me. So here they are and then some photos of her not in wraps and groomed out. She is just a little over 5 pounds - almost 5 pounds.

** In the second photo it looks like she has a long tail, but she doesn't. It is just her hair from her tail - I had not put it in a wrap yet.

*Then the last photo she had enough of photos and was getting impatient and was going down on her front legs, probably wanting off the table. LOL

Thanks Tami. I have heard how others do it, but I figure as long as its not broken, don't fix it. So I keep doing what I have been doing. I am hoping that once I put her in the ring - she will finish fast.
She is out on the back porch now, just strutten back and forth. She loves to play out there. I do not keep them out long, just enough to get some good exercise. They love running back and forth - since it is the length of the whole back of the house - big porch with covered roof.
Can't wait to see ya in Atlanta - Feb. Are you going to the one in SC? I thinking about Savannah too. Hmmmm... Not sure on this one yet. I guess I will have to make up my mind fast. :D

I'm in Maryland next week, Va. Beach in Dec. going on a cruise for my anniversay in Jan (Yea!) than in your neck of the woods in Feb. Depending on my meeting there I may end up heading south more often. South is a good direction to head in the winter.

Tina, she has a incredible coat. I know you can't wait to get her in the show ring. What dog food do you feed. Do you supplement anything for the coat?

I feed her Nature's Variety, chicken. I never supplement for the coat. I have found out many years ago, that you can overdo it. She has a really good coat gene as you can tell. Either they have it or they do not. She has a very nice silky coat and great color. Her texture is so nice.

* Notice I was not holding her tail or setting her up in the first two photos. She is doing well on her training. Now I just hope she will remember it come ring time. LOL

Thanks! I have had to sit on her for awhile to finish the others. It will be so nice to get her in the ring finally. She had a litter too once. Trey and Knight were her pups. I wish I could have kept Knight too. But at least he is living the high life on Capitol Hill.

Not that it doesn't flop anyway. cash's hair is so silky and fine a top knot really doesn't hold it here at the house. of course on show days, it has to hold because it is semi stiff!!!!!!! LOL

I was keeping it tied up with a scrunchie and it was doing okay but then suddenly I notice his topknot was getting thinner and thinner. I had made the mistake of letting him play with some younger pups and I think they were grabbing his topknot. Anyway the damage is done. When I was at the Houston Specialty I talked to several show breeders that said they never keep the topknot tied up. One said she had been using Shaws Royal Coatalin but you can't buy that anymore but I still had some so that is what I am using now. Someone else said to use Vellus Satin Cream. I have always kept a scrunchie in Yogi's topknot and his is really long now. It is hard to know what to do. Some dogs are just harder on their coats I guess.

LOL, I sort of repeated myself in the above post. I had forgot that I had basically wrote all that information earlier. I know what you mean about them getting hair in their eyes. I don't like that at all. I know Yogi cannot go without a topknot. I have not tried the Vellus cream so I don't know if that would keep the hair back or not.

Thanks Barbara, I'm really enjoying him. Avery is starting to look alot like her Uncle Ace. Shame she doesn't have his attitude.

Here are a few of Cici I took yesterday, trying to get some holiday shots and got a few casual as well. You can tell she was not too happy with me for the holiday shots. She rather be playing! :D Happy holiday everyone!:candyc1:

I love the Christmas card idea. Cici has enough hair for two dogs! It will be fun to watch her success in the ring next year.

Love the pictures.. Very nice coats. Barbara, cute names too.

I have a 7 month old female who is coming along. I have not tied back her whiskers yet, but am starting to be concerned about her chewing them or rubbing them. Anyone have a rule of thumb for when the damage would be less from banding than possible chewing.
