If she has any stories she can't remember them. But, we did do alot of things that were a bit crazy when we were growing up.

Thank you! I sure hope you didn't believe me!!! Of course, we have some great stories. I like the time Mary got on the hood of my dad's truck and then I take off...don't think she'll ever forgive me....I laugh everytime I talk about it and she just gets mad and says I could have killed her....she right!

I remember that, you'd just got your license that day.....I still have the scar on my shoulder.

I'll answer by Linda Lou or Wendy...either one is fine...my dad gave me the nickname and I thought it was because of Peter Pan's Wendy and then he told me it was spelled "Windy" because of how I was as a baby!

I will post a picture of Cody as soon as I figure out how to do it!

It was great meeting all of you and I will start visiting now that I see how much fun it is. Good night to all of you....you too Mary!

I know it does look funny, if someone did not know it was from the wraps. I have seen dogs go into the ring with them not all ironed out too. At first you do think - do they have a wave in their coat? Then you know it's from the wraps. I know some yorkies do have a wave, but the ones I saw were from the wraps. :)

You're right, I know he's having a great time with Mary and Bob and his family. Yeah, I'm sure Radar's curls are longer and fortunately, he's never had surgery and had to be shaved..I'm thankful it's finally to the floor..:D (Thanks to the tender, loving care he's getting..)

Mary Ann,

You went to bed too early last night, missed out on the fun.

Cody is coming this weekend end to play with CJ. They met once already, but CJ was working at the dog show. So, they didn't get a chance to play.

Yep! But Cody is staying for a few day, while his mommy goes on VT....shhhhhhhh don't tell him.

And Cognac and Vino are coming to meet him next weekend.

I thought I'd spike it.

Having to discipline the boys this morning, they are rough housing and creating hovac in the household.....CJ is quite the instigator when it comes to having fun.

I love that picture. Thanks for sharing. For those that wonder why show yorkies coats have to be ironed after taking them out of wraps, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Barb,

I usually don't wrap them prior to a show. After bathing them I put them up in scrunchies..less ironing that way.

I do the same thing except if I don't bathe the next day and only then Radar is put back in wraps and then I have to iron out the crimped hair LOL...but with Radar's real silky coat it's not really hard to do :)

But yes, this picture is great to see why sometimes we do have to really iron out the dog before showing!

You're right Donna one of the reasons we iron is to get out any crimping, or waves left from wrapping.

But, I think non-exhibitors are sometimes under the misconception that the main purpose we iron to straighten the coat. Not so, it's to lock in shine and fuse the coat together so it flows when then gait.

I'm glad you posted this picture!! I have straight hair but I use the flat iron to make it shine and take out frizzes but my hair is straight! Same with a yorkie coat it finishes the look at least that it what it should do and not straighten a curly coat to make it look straight but we know it's done.
So this picture is a GREAT example as to why we use a flat iron on the yorkie coat :)

Poor CJ, he's been the brunt of all this, but I'm glad Mary Ann posted the pic, it turned out to be a great learning tool.
