Schedule of shows?
 
How do I find out when/if there will be any shows in my area (I'm in Tulsa, OK)?

I do not show or breed, nor do I plan to, but I would love to attend some shows in person (I'm sure it's much different than just watching on TV).

Big show coming up in October/November time frame in your area. Claremore, OK and Grove isn't to far from you.

Onofrio handles most of the central states.

There is also infodog.com which gives you a comprehensive schedule.

Thank you!! It's nice to see there's something down the road in OKC. I wonder if Tulsa even hosts any type of shows or events.

Yes they do. The one in Oct. It use to be held at the Convention Center, but I heard it's been moved somewhere else within the City

Evidently Tulsa has changed their dates to June.....held at the fair grounds. But in 2010 will be moving it to December at the fairgrounds.

Elk City, Enid, Lawton and Chickashea are coming up.

In May, if you want to make the trip to OKC, there is a Yorkie and Toy Dog Specialty at the Biltmore Hotel. It's a 3 day event.

I think we were typing at the same time & I missed your first post. There's actually a nice selection of shows in my area. I had no idea! Thank you for the websites and the help!

I don't remember when the Grove and Claremore Shows are but, I do enjoy those shows. Did Shawnee is in May.

Do you come to many shows in Oklahoma? I've read so many of your posts - I would love to meet you and see one of your yorkies in person.

I use to when I lived in Texas. I have so many exhibitor friends that live there. I do miss that part of the country. I'm a native Californian, but my heart is there.

This year I was there in May; did the Oklahoma Yorkie and Toy Specialty and Shawnee.

My dogs are not of my line, it takes 10 generations to accomplish that. They are from my mentor's line: This Time Yorkshire Terriers.

I was born and raised in SE Oklahoma before moving to Tulsa, and the Oklahoma/Texas region is where my heart is, too. I love to visit other parts of the country but this is home.

I'll be heading to Texas in September for the Bluebonnet Yorkshire Terrier and DFW Toy Specialties.

The one thing I don't miss is the heat....but, love traveling the southern states.. LA & MS being my most favorites.
