No BOB/Winner's ribbons today for me or Donna........but there is LOTS of vendors/shopping!! (My Emmy did take BOS.)

In the yorkie ring, Tonia's special got BOB and her class dog got Winners dog. Marie's special got BOS. I did not know the person that got Winners bitch and you will have to forgive me I am not sure who got BOW.

But Radar and Lance showed great and so did my Emmy and Dream....so looking forward to another chance tomorrow!! (Radar and Lance are not showing tomorrow, but instead Donna as a puppy she is showing.)

I will work on pictures! I will try to take come casual shots this weekend and get them posted.

Tommorow is another day. Have fun, I know the Reliant is a long grueling weekend. Have Donna give me a call when she has a chance.

Yes, there is always the next show. We have good and bad days. The best part is that you guys were there with the dogs, enjoying one another, and have the friends to share it all with. All in all a good day. And so much to look forward to. :)

I went to the show, had a really good time. The yorkies were beautiful. I learned alot. I'll be there the rest of the weekend. I have a question about the classification of the groups. My friend here in Katy won her group, but I don't understand the groups. How many groups are in Yorkie catagory. I was lost as to what was showing in the group. Would love to know what I'm watching as groups come out.:confused:

Are you speaking about the Yorkie ring itself?

Here how it goes.

6-9 puppy dogs 1 -4th place ribbons
9-12 puppy dogs' 1 - 4th place ribbons
9-18 puppy dogs 1-4 th place ribbons
bred by exhibitor dogs 1-4th place ribbons
open dogs 1-4th place ribbons

The first place ribbon holders in each class go back in the ring for Winners Dog. Dependent on who takes WD, the 2nd place ribbon holder of that same class goes back in for Reserve Winners.

The whole thing is repeated with the Bitches.

When that is all done.

All The Champions along with WD and WB go back in for Best Of Breed. The Winner of BOB goes on to the Toy Group Ring. The Winner of The Toy Group Ring goes on to compete for Best In Show.

I think what you are calling group is actually classes. There is 6 to 9 month male, 9 to 12 month male, 12 to 18 month male, Bred-By male, American Bred male and then Open male classes. The winner of each class goes back in to see who is the Winners Dog. When winners dog is picked then the 2nd dog of the class that the Winners Dog was in goes back in for Reserve Winners dog. This is repeated for Females. Winners Dog and Winners Bitch go back in with the dogs that are allready Champions to choose Best of Breed, Best of Opposite and Best of Winners. Does that help?

Thanks to both of you. That definately answered my question. Your right it was classes. I look forward to tomorrow where I will understand whats going on better. Brenda won with her male, I'm just not sure which class they were in. I'll ask her tomorrow. I am so excited about showing. I want to learn as much as I can. It's exciting. I've met some great members in The Greater Houston Yorkshire Terrier Club. They have been so helpful and are inspiring me so much. I had heard so much negative about showing but so far everyone has been wonderful. I love it, good luck to all of you and your Yorkie babies.;);):):p:p:p:p
