oh yay! congratulations!!!!:cheer: you are so nice, and your baby is so adorable! i had no idea you were also a YT member. milu and i came up to you to say congratulations after the competition. :D milu was the little ballerina that wanted to say hello to Havoc when havoc was getting brushed/groomed (for the 35th time probably LOL!) after the competition, Havoc got all his hair pined up and was wearing a silk robe or something, came out to say hello to milu and everybody. so adorable! :D:thumbup: |

Oh yeah, I had to nag that poor guy to death with the brush--I am actually amazed he didnt throw a hissy fit. All he wanted to do was play with the other dogs that kept walking by to visit. After he was done and wrapped he got to make his social rounds so he was quite happy it was all over. Next time you talk to the meetup people tell them there were no pros there--I am living proof of that and about as green as they come :) |
Thank you Sonja, Yorkiekist, Yelena, Deb and Dion! |

CONGRATULATIONS Kristena and Havoc! Kristena did a great job showing Havoc, and he was a perfect little puppy in the ring. He won over a lovely bitch in (almost) full coat for best in match -- so we know Havoc is someone special. I can't wait for him to start showing. Jamie, that Scooter is unstoppable! You must be thrilled. Congratulations. It was great to see so many people at the B Match. Although it was over 100 degrees that day, we were in a nicely air conditioned room and everyone kept cool. The yorkies came in all sizes and shapes and colors -- some dressed in wonderful costumes. I so enjoyed seeing everyone's babies. It was a long day, and Martini and Mellie slept hard after the match (me too. Ha.) |
Awww thanks Katelin! I came home that night, emailed Mary and crashed out on the floor. The pup ate his dinner and then crawled on top of me and passed out too. We were exhausted! |

you are very nice, and there were other people showing their yorkies that were nice, and let me touch their yorkie hair and was explaining about the coat to me. but i was disappointed with the event itself :( that was the first show i gone to, and i couldn't hear what's going on. i had wanted to learn more and see the yorkies. just hear what the judges say about the yorkies so i know what a 'standard' yorkie should look like. but i couldn't hear what is going on in the ring. plus i felt bad when milu kept wanting to say hi to the dogs in the competition, i didn't want milu to make them mess up their hair right before they go into the show ring. it was really fun to see the dogs in their long coats in the competition though!!! their coat is so long and they are so cute but so serious at the same time. it was so adorable! i loved it. just wish i knew what was going on more. i thought all the dogs were so good to let you guys brush them OVER AND OVER. LOL!!!! it was so funny to see you guys do that. hehe. almost seen like OCD lol, i know you have to to make sure their coat is as perfect as it can be during the competition. i just have never seen it done before. |

It was my first match so I figured they were going to do it in standard show format but that didnt happen. Not to mention it was so loud in there; I was right next to the ring and couldnt hear. I wasnt too concerned because we just went there for practice--I didnt expect him to win anything. I will make sure I tell the president that she needs a bullhorn for future years! :D I was really surprized that the SF Meetup group endorsed the match--its not at all a meetup kinda thing so I can totally understand why most of you were bored to tears and expecting it to be something different. |
Aw congratz to you and Havoc! :) |
LOL! i wasn't really bored to death, because i was also expecting it to be like you said the standard show format(not that i know what that is, but i just kind of imagine like the dog show you see on TV!), and i wanted to see what the show yorkies look like(in person). i tried to pay attention in the beginning (i DID get there late, and it had already started) but i couldn't hear anything the judges were saying, i just see cute yorkies with long coat going in circles over and over again. i got bored after watching that for a while and not knowing what's going on. i realize that it was probably annoying for the participants that we were so loud. i got bored because i couldn't hear what was going on, so i started walking around with milu to visit with different dogs. i don't think it was a meet-up type of event. but i didn't know what to expect really. but i was definitely expecting it to be more formal. LOL :p i kind of wanted to show milu, just for fun. but i thought we should probably just watch LOL milu will never let me nag her with a brush like that. Quote:

I was confused too about the order. This was our first Match, so I didn't know that it is always in that different order, not like a show. Also I didn't know that they never have printed programs or catalogs so you can follow along with the dogs in the ring. Definitely needed a loudspeaker system, and I'm sure they will have that next time. |

On show days I will ask a lot of him but when he is out of that ring he gets to be a normal, silly dog (with hairwraps lol). :) |
LOL! i loved the hair wraps. he looked like a rock star after the show! :D :D :D i wanted to ask him for his autograph!!!! |
