Tomy arrived Tuesday he is a very pretty boy and sooo sweet. But he is soooo skinny I mean skin and bones. He is almost 4 pounds. He is a picky eater so any sugestions are welcomed!!! |
Pictures Maria, where are the pictures, I am dying to see him. I am sending you a email |
I had some that would not eat good and I was putting chicken on top of their dog food and everything. That was the only way they would eat, mostly Ace and Keylee. But last week I changed my food to Dr. Foster and Smith. It is very good food and they love it, now I have to make sure they don't over eat. It was a great change for me. It is also cheaper then the Puria One I did have them on when you buy it in buck. You can get 4 30lbs bags for around 100.00 Shipping was $10.00 I saved money and it was shipped to my door. |
I tried chicken, chicken liver but did not work.Unfortunately I can't get Foster and Smith in my country that a shame I would love to try it. |

I had to use a product called "Dyne" on my boy which was recommended by a few people on this forum. I noticed that it sparked his appetite and we was more willing to eat. Also, cottage cheese and patte'd beef liver seemed to encourage him to eat but all-in-all his weight really didnt stabilize until he was about 18 mos. :( Best of luck with your new little boy!!! His photos are gorgeous! |
Thank you Bravo,I am giving him Dyne 5 cc daily how much did you give your boy? |
I dont recall exactly how much I gave him but I know for sure that there wasnt a percise measurement to it. I pretty much gave him as much as he would eat over the course of a day (which wasnt much--maybe 1-2tsp) and he seemed to do better when he licked it off my figer. Oh the little, skinny boys are so much fun, arent they?!? :D |

Hi Maria, I am new to the yorkie talk forum, but not new to yorkies ..... :) This is my first post on the board, and thought I could suggest to you on trying your new little boy on Royal Canine "Yorkshire" food. All of my dogs have always loved it and I ended up having to take some of my show dogs off of this food because they would gain TOO much weight on this food. Best of luck to you with him ... Your dogs are beautiful! Stephanie |
Hi Stephanie,I will try it and let you know if he liked it thanks. |
Hi Mardel, Hi All People, My name is Ana I'm from Europe and it's my first reply here. :) About the boy, it's great (nice head and top line) by the photo I can know who is the Breeder and it's very good. I have Camparis Blueprint in the pedigree at one of my males. Good luck! |
