Chunk is now 16 weeks old and here's his first topknot. He has his first match next Saturday. What do you guys think?

He looks very nice :) I'm impressed that he stands so still ! :eek: Chloe wouldn't stand that still unless I superglued her feet to the table !

He's a breeze to stack on the table, he always lands in a great self stack as well. His dam is from Brazil and has fantastic coat texture so it will be interesting to see what his coat does. He moves very well and loves people so he should be fun to show.

Tami, what is his weight at 16 weeks? I have a female about that age and was wondering how they compare in size.

He's a good solid boy and weighs about 3.5 pounds. If you double his 12 week weight he should grow up to be 5.5 pounds. He's been having quite the growth spurt the last 2 weeks so we'll see. It's a fun age isn't it?

Tami, he sounds like a really nice size. Yes, this is a fun age. I love just watching them be puppies. I also hate the waiting, especially on size and coat. Often you never know if they will be too light of too dark or if their coat will be the right texture. They go through so many changes before you get the end results. Your boy looks so far like he should do well. Will you be showing him AKC or CKC or both?

I'll be showing him in both UKC and AKC. I usually start them in UKC, the shows are close and there are two each day. I have another boy who is just 5 months old that I'm holding for show as well so I'll have to decide who to put in the ring first or whether to let one go to a show home. I guess you could have a worse dilemma. Here's the other boy, Havoc.
