Our New Show Hopeful-Heartbreaker Romeo

Here are some pictures I took today of our new show hopeful. He was imported so he does have a tail. I am debating whether to just keep it and show him UKC or have it taken off. I hate the idea at this age and wonder how it would look and if the hair would grow back okay. I kinda love it. It gives him so much character. I am torn!!!

I'm kinda partial to tails....not that it's my opinion that matters. LOL

oh my, he is very very handsome even as a puppy . . . .I don't know much about pain should you decide to cut it at his age :( . .i think you can just leave it be :) . .he will make a fine champion one day :thumbup:

he is an aboslute doll. Just stunning. he will do well in UKC. probably extra special well since the long tails in shows have just started. you would be among the fuirst and he will get lots of attention. Who knows, maybe AKC will follow suit. just my opinion, I wouldn't put him thru having it taken off now.

None of the pictures show his tail. Maybe you could post one showing his tail?? I've always wondered what it looked like. One of my dogs barely has a stub because they (the breeder) took off too much so I try to have the vet leave the longs amount possible.:animal36

Please don't cut off his tail, I have four yorkies all with their tales and I love them it does give them much character and they run way faster than the two yorkies I have without tails, their balance is much better, I find that the four with tails do much better at agility courses than the two I have with docked tails, and they jump higher. Put him in the UKC show forget AKC they actually want you to mutilate your baby just to show through them, forget it, stick with UKC much better!!! He is way to cute to chop his tail off for the likes of AKC, tell the judges at AKC to chop off their arm or one of their legs since they want your yorkie to be mutilated just to show him.

He is a gorgeous boy! He is absolutely adorable! I agree with keeping the tail also!! Nydia--Very interesting about the balance and agility being better with the dogs with tails.
