Her mom is too light and was cleared young, and her sire cleared at 18 months old, and has great color. Your Daisy looks like she may clear around a year to 18 months. I think she is an excellent size and should easily make 5.5-6 lbs. She is a cutie, wishing you all the best with her.
As for the judges, some know that yorkies should clear older to keep better color as an adult...others have no clue. I would not show her to anyone who has DQ a dog for thumbprints or being too dark, there is a list on the other thread. | Thank you for your encouragement. I do also think she will make size. I am very optimistic. I will look for that thread and judges! Things are very different now than they were 15 years ago! A lot has changed in the standard. Some for the good and some NOT.
Your hope is beautiful! Good luck.
On the clearing thing, I too think it's not a good sign when they clear too quickly, it's just hard to wait so long to show when you are excited about it:)
Is there a thread that has a list of judges and things they do or do not like? Maybe that would be a good thread to start? Or is that like asking for other people to do the work for ya? I don't want to come across like I want others to "give" away good information they have worked hard to collect. Maybe it's not like that here on Yorkie Talk, but some people are very protective of what they have learned> I don't see that here:) |
