Now 12 weeks - Evaluation
 

Well, it is time to look and see. Trey and Knight are now 12.5 weeks old. They both weigh 2 pounds. Trey is more stocky and compact, where Knight is more up on leg. Trey is more out going and a not afraid of anything! Knight is happy go luck, easy going, and not so out there. I know which one I am tending toward keeping. How about you??

Look at them strutting their stuff, I think they are both knockouts, but it does look like Knight is the professional poser. Great job!

Hi, They are both adorable and those top lines look very nice! My vote: I lean towards the second grouping of pictures if you have to choose 1. I don't know why, but in the pictures, I just like the overall balance a little better. They are adorable and look very promising! Good Luck.

Here is another one of Knight. They both have great level toplines and tails up. In this photo topline looks off, but it is only the angle of is position and his front legs are out in front too far.

Tina....they are both gorgeous. If it were me I just could not pick one over the other just yet and I am sure you feel the same way. As for preference if I had to choose now I think I would go with Knight because he is a little more up on leg and he appears from the pictures to have a little more neck and better head carriage. Trey's personality would be a plus in the show ring but Knight could still strut his stuff if he is happy go lucky. I know you have so much more experience than me so I do appreciate your sharing the pictures and your evaluations of the puppies. That is how we all learn. I know also they can really change a lot from 12 weeks to 6 months to 12 months. This will be a great learning experience for us......thanks for sharing. They both look like future champions to me and I am looking forward to following their show careers.

Thank you so much. You are right! I hope this is a learning experience for all, me included. I learn so much, even today,with each litter I have and looking at what produced what. Great comparison lesson. :thumbup:

Your babies have the prettiest faces of any pups I have seen in a long time. Nice toplines and good ear sets. Very nice but what do I really know except they have stunning little faces.:)

They are both stunning but Knight is my fav for the show ring!!

Knight is more quiet, not shy - just happy go lucky type. And very sweet. He knows he is cute!
Trey is very over the edge - runs constantly and gets into everything. He is not afraid of anything and the one setting them up for trouble. Trey also is very spoiled and has a very big mouth on him. He has learned that he loves to play out of his x-pen. And does not understand why he has to sleep in his bed. LOL Knight has learned to climb up and looks over the edge, so we have to have the top on the x-pen. Trey has his own watch/alarm clock! Yep! I know he has one. I have not found it yet, but when I do - I am throwing it away. Puppies should not know how to tell time! Especially on the weekends! I hate getting up at 5:00 every day! And summer is here. In two more days - I get to sleep in! Notice I said I get to - not that htey will let me. LOL
I think they will both make the ring - None are shy! No problem there. I have been trying to get them aquainted to new situations and things every few days and they do great. They check it ou first and then go for it. Trey will go for it a little faster than Knight.
