Hi all and thank you very much for your advise, and input. Update on Daisy: She looks better the past 2 weeks which is very good. I'd like to see a firmer top line, It's pretty level, but sometimes doesn't seem too firm...but there is time for it to improve I've been told. Her coat color and texture are silk and dark. I shouldn't have to dye her:) Her ears, head, face are cute and look nice. She could have more drive in the rear and I'd like to see more lay-back in the shoulders. I can't change that though. She has nice reach, but because she lacks the proper lay-back, she tends to hold her head slightly downward. She hates it when I hold the lad tight to "make" her head stay up. When I take her on the lead, she doesn't want to hold her head high unless I hold bait out in front of me. When I do that, she looks great except her movement gets sloppy. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting the puppy trained to hold the head high and confident while looking straight ahead. Some do that naturally, but not sure if this is a puppy thing, or if I need to work on this posture due to the lay back of her shoulders and neck. She free stacks lovely, it's just the lead that messing her up. I still don't like her gay tail. But, I may be able to get used to it if she has enough other things going for her. Also, she weighs 2.7 lbs at 17 weeks. Does anyone think she can still reach 4.5 5.5 lbs by 1 year or 18 months? I know this line develops slower that the other lines I used to show. Does anyone have experience in the range and possibilities of growth from 17 weeks forward? I really appreciate all the support and encouragement, I hope I can continue to post positive results;) How about food. We feed Eukenuba. I wish she'd eat more! I thought I might try a different food...any recommendations? By the way, I spent 1/2 hour writing the previous message and the server timed out on me and made me start over. I don't like this feature of Yorkie talk as it is very frustrating to spend so much time writing all but to have you log in again and loose your post. Am I missing some trick to posting a long note? |
