BYTNC Biewer Specialty We invite anyone in the Orlando area whether you own a Biewer or not to come out and share this exciting event with us! The BYTNC is proud to announce our Specialty that will be held in conjunction with the IABCA show in Orlando, Florida on May 3rd, show #2. We are honored to have Dr. J. Donald Jones as our Specialty Judge. Dr. Jones comes with over 30 years of judging dogs and most recently judged the Best in Show, competition at the prestigious, 132 Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, held February 11-12, 2008 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The IABCA has restricted our entries to 40 dogs, so early registration is a must if you wish to participate. Please visit our Club website, www.bytnc.org to download your Specialty Form and instructions. We ask that you e-mail the Club at biewerbytnc@yahoo.com to reserve your dogs place as the 40 slots are going quickly. Entry fee for the Specialty is $20.00 per dog and is non refundable. Applications must be completed, with a copy of your dog’s registry and monies included in the same envelope, and postmarked no later than April 24, 2008. This is our chance to show off our beautiful breed to a Judge who is held in the highest esteem in the Dog World. You must enter the IABCA show to be eligible for our Specialty at www.iabca.com. |

What an awesome and exciting opportunity for the Biewers! Can't wait to see everyone there! :D |
The deadline for entry is fast approaching. :) We haven't reached the 40 max.. yet so if you thought or are still thinking of attending you still have a little time. Looking forward to seeing those that can attend, it is going to be a great time. |
I am very interested in watching the progess of this breed. I would like to have one if I thought that AKC approval would be in the near future. There are just not that many places I could show one in my area. I am on a Yahoo list with other Yorkie exhibitors and a YTCA board member sent a message for everyone to encourage Biewer breeder/exhibitors. Is the offical name Biewer or Biewer Yorkshire Terriers? I appreciate you guys sharing information. They are beautiful dogs. |

The BYTNC has been the leaders in the show ring and have the two top Biewers in the US with the oldest show venues that accept the breed, so we are pretty excited about our accomplishments and hard work for the Biewers. This will be our second Specialty for the year, and we sure didn't want to pass up the opportunity to have Dr. J. Donald Jones as our Judge to meet our breed. What an honor! We hope to have another surprise in our Judge selection for another upcoming Specialty this year..:D The name is a debate.. it depends on what Breed Club you belong to and what you believe is in the history of the breed. |
Dr Jones is an honor indeed. Didn't he judge BIS at Westminster this year? I plan on getting an IABCA Championship on Deuce before he is cut down. I had Jack Russell/ Parson Terriers a few months after AKC approval and it was hard to get everyone to agree on the names, standards and even if they wanted AKC approval at all. I will have to admit that I have seen a huge change in the breed since AKC approval. Is there a place where I can learn more about the history of the breed? |
Is color the only difference in standards? |
