I just got this pic in email last night from one of my pet owners who are wonderful friends.
This is a Squeakers and Mia son, he is 5 1/2 years old strictly a pet so he hasn't had any coloring or enhancing ever. this is a boy I had wanted to show but they wanted a puppy so badly and were wonderful so I couldn't pass this home up for one of my kids.
He is the king of their world.
This is how well his color has held.
His daddy and mommy brushes him everytime he is in their lap and he loves it.
They have always used Coat Handlers on him.
Squeakers still has beautiful coloring for a 9 year old boy too.

He's beautiful Deanna. Are you ever sorry that you didn't go ahead and show him or put him into a show home? Sometimes it's so hard to know what is the best road to take once you are producing show quality dogs consistantly.

Yeah, I noticed that too... Usually if there is any intermixing it is more silver, rather than gold, which will then reflect with the darker color in order to give the coat a steel blue gleam.

Sometimes its really good that we know the babies are loved in there homes. That is so special.

Beautiful, I have 2 puppies 1 male and the other female. I am trying to get them use to brushing everytime I have them in my lap. I have a slicker brush (mini) and Im not sure if they like this type of brush. What is the best brush to use. They are puppies what is the best shampoo to use. I was told baby shampoo was good( johnson and johnson), is this true.

Hi.

I wouldn't think the puppies would enjoy the slicker brush very much, but my girls will lay forever when I brush them with a Chris Christensen pin brush.

I have been sorry for placing a few on show contracts who obviously only wa out to buy breeding stock.

Yea he does have beautiful color.

Please explain the coloring and the term breaking. How many different colors are recognized in yorkies and how can I tell what color my 8 week old puppy will be.

It must just be the way the light is reflected in the photo that makes it appear gold. He has very sweet eyes and looks well loved.

Well Kayah has a nice coat in my opinion :)
Yep thats the best part, we get together and see each other. they also live in WV. :)
So we get to play dates and also they come to some of the shows.
Jesse thinks he is a big dog, I remember they brought him to a show and suprised us.
So I am extremely happy that he is with them.
I also watched him while they went to Hawaii.

It's so hard to know who to trust. If you find yourself with a great pup you want to see it reach it's potential in the ring not stuck making money for someone having litter after litter. You're right, I would rather see them as a beloved pet than as a puppy machine.

He is so beautiful I had to have my SO come in and look at him, his color is so rich. I bet it feels nice to know that he is in a home that appreciates him and loves him so much.:)
