I'm so disappointed I had Bingo entered in a 4 day show this weekend in St. Joe, MO. A big show for around here. It was going to be our last until I had the baby. They don't have shows around here in the summer so we were basically out until the fall. Anyway, I found out a couple hrs. ago that I have to have my gallbladder out tomorrow. So that puts me out for the show this weekend. My poor boy... so much work and now he won't even get to show. :( |
Awww!! I am so sorry to hear that!! That is so frustrating! Is there anyone around you that could possibly show him for you? Maybe a Jr. Handler? Wishing you a quick surgery and even speedier recovery! |

Yeah.... you should have seen the look on the surgeon's face when I asked if we could wait until Monday because I had a dog show this weekend! lol He called my other dr. and he said no. I don't even know exactly what's wrong with it. I was in such shock that they want it down now that I didn't even ask. I'm just putting my faith into them that they know what they're doing. I have Bingo in the Bred By class so I'm the only one that could show him. Otherwise, I'd be calling around to see if anyone else could do it for me. |
oh, I know you both have worked so hard! I am so sorry! have you been feeling bad?? You are a go getter- girl! |
Oh I am soo sorry to hear that!!! I would be really bummed too if I were you! But hey we can recover together...mine comes out on Friday...ROFLOL |
Yes, I've been in horrible pain for the past month or so. I've had attacks before and this one was particularly bad. The main issue is the fact that I am pregnant and have gestational diabetes. I'm on 4 insulin shots a day and I have to be able to regulate my diet with that. I can't do that when I can't eat! So hopefully this will solve the problem. And Jackie... we'll have to throw a gallbladder party! lol |
Im sooooo sorry to hear this... all that work you and your fur baby had to do... just so you know... if your gal bladder isnt causing your white blood cells to go down or up (I cant remember exactly which way) then your fine... for a little while... jmo so... maybe they can hold off until next week? I always had to take loratab for the pain I would get... but it took a little while for it to kick in... sorry... |
I'm so sorry, I know you're really bummed with the unfortunate timing. First priority is a healthy baby and mom so take good care of yourself and have a speedy recovery. |
oh man, I am so sorry to hear this. You have to do what is best for you and your baby tho. There will always be a dog show. |
Thinking of you today...hope all is going well! |
Hoping that everything went well with that gall bladder procedure, and wishing you a speedy recovery. Get well soon, and hope to hear an update from you.:getwell: |
Well, I made it through. Don't let anyone fool you, gallbladder removal is extremely painful! (I'm NOT trying to scare you Jackie!) It's a little different for me because I have the baby in there kicking everything from the inside. Every time she moves it puts me in pain. Plus, they pump you full of gas and that's SO hard to get rid of. I was on morphine all day Tues. and they finally weaned me off it yesterday afternoon. I guess I'm a pretty funny lady on drugs, lol. They wanted to keep me last night, but we had some snow coming and I wanted to be home before it hit. So I convinced them to let me go. I can sleep there as well as I can here. I'm hoping that I'll feel good enough this weekend that we can atleast go down and watch the show one day. |
I'm so glad to hear things are going well. I never thought about the baby kicking all of the sore stuff, bless your heart. I hope you feel better for the weekend but be careful and take it easy. |
