I adopted Katie when she was 5 months old,she is now nearly 2 (Birthday on October 25tg!) and she is nothing but the sweetest, most happy go lucky Yorkie mix in the world!! I ADORE her, but I have to move to NYC and I know she would hate it there, we did a test run and the cement, sounds and sites were just too much for a sweet Virginia dog to take, and it would not be fair to her. She LOVES all people-- especially kids of all ages, she has spent 1 1/2 years with my nieces and nephews from 0 months old to 6 yrs, and never one problem, not even close. My sister would act as reference to this regarding kate and her 3 children's relationship with Kate. She has the most sweet, but not hyper (at all) disposition, just a great companion dog, always wagging tail, giving kisses to her family friends, she loves people, other dogs, but not big dogs. No homes with big dogs. Fine with cats. She is ideal for someone who is home during the day to take her out on great walks, or has a fenced back yard to let hwer out while they are home. She loves to run and play and attention but not TOO much-then she gets nervous. She has been a great companion and friend to me. So give me a call, I cannot say what type of person/family is best for her, you just have to meet! She is house trained and weighs @ 12 lbs. She is up to date on all vaccinations and is spayed and comes w her vet records.
