Hello to Fellow Yorkie Rescuers!
 
Hello all, I'm new here to YorkieTalk but certainly not new to Yorkie Rescue, which I have been doing for years. I am very involved in one of the national 501(c)(3) yorkie rescue groups and would love to get to know others from other yorkie rescue groups. Together, we CAN make a difference, one dog at a time! Let's talk!

Thanks Kelly & Kim for the welcome! When I do a shelter run looking for yorkies, I also write down the other purebreeds that are there and then contact that purebred rescue group. It's so rewarding to know that I can help in this small way. Good to get to know you!

Hi and welcome to YT . One of my friends is a volunteer for a shelter in
Montreal and I am always glad to help him . Really rewarding to take care of little kittens , puppies and older ones .

Welcome to the group!!! Thank you for being involved in rescue!!!

I don't do rescue but I have foster dogs before because I have several friends who are involved in different rescue groups.

But I do have a yorkie that is a rescue and so does my father. Also I just adopted another rescue dog(border collie) recently.

My friend rescued a yorkie pup from a burning barn ( puppymill ) last week .
He named him Fuego .

Welcome Diane to YorkieTalk! I'm so glad you found us. I'm not part of a rescue group but I do regularly check the rescue sites to see the pups that need homes. I'd never hesitate to adopt an older yorkie. It's wonderful that you are involved in that work.

hey LvMyYorki what i did was went to unitedyorkierescue.org there is tons of information there and then i filled out an application to be a foster mom or what ever else they need.

good luck and hope you sign up the more people we have the better chance of saving these little darlings.
