Leah wants to live with you!!! 1 Attachment(s) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LeAH Dog Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie Size: Small Age: Adult Sex: Female I.D: Notes: Leah is a twelve pound, seven year old yorkie girl. she is sweet and cuddly and only a little bit shy now. she has been here for a while because of health issues which have now been resolved. Her long term confinement left her with a lot of curiosity and she spends most of her time exploring. she does well with other dogs, but prefers a soft lap and bed and the petting that she never had before. The adoption donation for this dog is $200 which includes all vaccinations (including rabies), worming, and spay/neuter. All of our FLAWDOGS are rescued from puppymills. Some have been well cared for (which is still a long way from being a pet). Others have led truly horrible lives and have never received a kind word or touch. Bear in mind that the breeders could have simply euthanized these dogs, but chose to turn them over to us instead. The dogs come to you crate trained and well along being housebroken. If your home is a chaotic place, these are NOT the right dogs for you. But if you have patience, love, and the desire to own a pet that will love you as nothing and no one ever can, a FLAWDOG may be just the ticket....feel free to call 636.274.2511 to visit or ask questions. We are located 45 minutes southwest of st. louis, mo and welcome out of state adopters who are willing to make the trip. We do not ship. 1 Attachment(s) Tressa Dog Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie Size: Small Age: Adult Sex: Female I.D: Tressa Notes: This info is current as of 3-25-05. Please read all info below before inquiring. Adoption requirements are based on the best interest of the dog and no exceptions will be made. No phone calls please. Tressa was fortunate enough to escape a puppy mill when it was shut down. Because puppy mill requirements are so lax anyway, we know this one had to be very bad to cause the removal of the dogs. She came in very dirty and matted, but we were able to save some of her coat. Tressa is very shy and unsocialized because of her background. She will hide her head when you reach for her, but she does not bite. She will need a quiet home with someone who is home much of the time to give her the attention she deserves. She would be most comfortable in a home that has another small dog for companionship or if she was adopted with one of her Yorkie friends. She is just learning how to be a dog. She will need a home with someone who is very experienced with tiny dogs and has the patience and understanding to make her feel secure. Yorkies are notorious for never being fully house trained and so her new home must be very tolerant of accidents. She did come in with lice and will not be available for adoption until about the middle of April after she has received 3 more treatment baths. It will also depend on when she is ready emotionally. She did lose some teeth during her dental. She is very tiny and will require a home that has had experience with little dogs. She could be easily hurt and will need a home that does not have children under 13 years old. Other dogs in the home must be similar in size. A fenced yard is required and it must be very tight and secure because she could sneak out of the tiniest open space. No electric type fences. All pets currently in the home must be up to date with annual vet care, altered, and kept on heartworm prevention. All inquiries must include your vets name & number for verification before you can receive an application. At this time, all applications will be snail mailed to your home address. No shipping. You must be within driving distance to adopt and willing to submit to a home visit. No phone calls please. Thank-you for your interest in my rescues. 1 Attachment(s) Silvie Dog Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie Size: Small Age: Adult Sex: Female I.D: no name silver Notes: This info is current as of 3-25-05. Please read all info below before inquiring. Adoption requirements are based on the best interest of the dog and no exceptions will be made. No phone calls please. This little dog was fortunate enough to escape a puppy mill when it was shut down. Because puppy mill requirements are so lax anyway, we know this one had to be very bad to cause the removal of the dogs. She is shy, but very sweet and loves to roll over for a tummy rub. She is always the first one to greet us for attention. She will need a home with someone who is very experienced with tiny dogs and has the patience and understanding to make her feel secure. She needs a quiet home and would do best living with another small dog or if she was adopted with one of her Yorkie friends for companionship. Yorkies are notorious for never being fully house trained and so her new home must be very tolerant of accidents. She did come in with lice and will not be available for adoption until about the middle of April after she has received 3 more treatment baths. She did lose some teeth during her dental. Her back is just fuzz, she was not shaved, this is how she came in. We are running blood tests to determine the cause. Update: Silvie is low thyroid and will need to take a pill every day for the rest of her life. The pills are inexpensive, but her potential home must be committed to doing this. Her hair may grow back now that she has started her pills, but we cannot know for sure. She is very tiny and will require a home that has had experience with little dogs. She could be easily hurt and will need a home that does not have children under 13 years old. She needs a quiet home with someone who is home a lot so that she can get the attention she deserves.
