Don't get discouraged. When you find him all the time spent will be well worth it. Did you think about just walking around in the local shelter and seeing what you can find?

My sister works at a rescue in a small town and she has found potty trained yorkies at kill shelters and other small breed puppies. Right now is puppy season so I'm sure they're there. It's important to go directly to the shelter and let them know what you're interested in. Many kill shelters don't have the time or money to invest when someone drops off a mommy dog and her 10 babies so unfortunately all of them end up euthanized. So I'd advise you to take a trip down there and if they don't have what you're looking for just leave your name and phone number. Maybe they will call you as soon as a dog like that comes in.

You can also call some rescues and ask if they need fosters. That is a good way to figure out what kind of dog you want. My sister is always looking around for foster volunteers in her town. They're a valuable asset to her rescue since she doesn't have a facility all of the animals. She doesn't even charge any kind of membership fee to be a part of the organization, she just screens people. So contact the rescues and give them your name and number as well.

Darla... Don't despair!!! I know exactly where you are coming from. It took me a while to get Baby and Juicy. I am just outside S.A. I will be on the look out for a yorkie for you. Don't give up things have a way of working out!!!

:( My son and I saw a bassent hound in the paper and called them. they agreed to bring it to us, 9 months old and house trained even sent us pics of it, I even put one of them on my desktop and my son put the otherone. we were so excited. today they were supose to bring it . We waited and nothing , my son had everything prepared for it. then nothing so I called them , they said that a family member decides to keep it. it hit us hard so upset its the 2nd time. this was to much ,they even said the time they were going to drop it off. why didnt they tell Me last nite. :confused:

Sweetie I am very sorry for you and your son. I can't begin to guess why people do what they do. I hope that you don't let this stop you. I thought you were only interested in a yorkie. If you have no preference my sister has a datsun that is expecting a litter of pups. I don't know if they are spoken for but I can ask for you. Have you checked shelters for puppies? Ours (SA) has loads of them. Some poodle mixes. Please try and put this behind you!!! Its just a bump in the road to getting your baby.

I know how you feel. I was looking at yorkiepoos about 9 months ago and I went to this one breeder's place and saw the most gorgeous little girl. She was so sweet. Anyways, the breeder was going to hold her for me, I was waiting for my paycheck, which was less than a week away. So we agreed on me picking her up on friday of that week. I went out and bought her everything, sweaters, carrier, toys, bowls, blankets, etc... I was really prepared to bring home my baby girl and I was sooooo exicted. Come friday, I call them to make sure someone will be home. I get no answer, they lived a good distance away from me, so I didn't want to go up unless I knew for sure someone would be home. As it turns out, I kept calling them for days, I had not idea what was going on and I was so upset. Finally my mom got a hold of them, and it turns out that the breeder's husband sold the puppy to someone else, I guess he did not know that his wife had already promised the puppy to me.:( :( I was crushed, after all this time of waiting and I was so excited, it was a guaranteed thing. Well I was soooo upset that this happened. My mom tried her best to find one for me. Here yorkies or yorkie mixes are only found certain times of the year, usually around Christmas and Spring/Summer. Any other time, it is really hard to find a puppy. Anyways a couple of weeks later, we came across another ad for yorkiepoo puppies. I went there and I got the pick of the litter, the breeder thought it was only fair since I was the first person to come and look at the puppies. So I got to take home my baby girl, Trixie, and I love her sooo much and I am glad I got her!!! So I know how you are feeling, just hang in there!!! :) :)

thank you that would be great, My hubby just went to SA today will be back tomorrow. yes I did look on the SA site. they had cute ones. He will be back next month. datsunds would be so cute to have. but i wont get my hopes lol. thank You for everything:thumbup:

:mademyday We are so excited its part Bichon and mutt but He is so cute . We named it Spanky. He loves to sleep in my sons bed lol. just got him 2 days ago.
