Alabama Yorkie Lovers!!! Sweet Rescues!!

Any of the Alabama members know anyone who would like to adopt a rescue?? I have a friend who owns a pet store and also does rescue. I was in there today so she could visit with Toto and she has two little Yorkies that she rescued from a BYB ... a breeder that needs to be shot by the way!! She had to buy them to get them away from this witch ... but she couldn't bear to leave these tiny little ones!! The babies are at her home, so I didn't get to see them but she described them and they sound precious! The little female, I believe she said is about 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 lbs. and the little male is about the same size. She said they look like they could be related to my Toto because of their looks! The bit@# she got them from had two 9 lb. males with the little female to breed!!!!! She thought at first that the little thing was in heat because of the blood ... come to find out, her little poopie was split open!!! It will take a while for that to heal and the vet wants to wait until it's completely healed before he spays her. The little male [I don't totally understand about males] the vet says looks like one of his little testicles had gotten crushed which caused it to go back up?? Does that make sense? At any rate, he will be neutered. Sooooo .... if anyone knows anyone who wants to adopt a sweet little cuddly lapdog ... that's this little girl!! And anyone who wants a boisterous little wild man .... that's this little boy!! They both sound really great ... I hope I got the details right ... just let me know & I will put you in touch with my friend!

Oh Bettyeanne, I would love to but my hubby would shoot me! I hope somebody here in Alabama gets in contact with you and these babies can find a forever home! Wouldn't it be a fine day when all breeders like that are a thing of the past??? Just a wishin!!!

:mad: This is a terrible injustice for any animal.. I would like to know where this person is so I could.... :mad: geesh! Bettyanne this just breaks my heart reading what these little ones have went through.. I am so glad your friend was able to get them out of there. I have a full house myself but I will keep my ears and eyes open.

Thank you all so much!! When she told me about these babies, I just wanted to get a "gang" of Yorkie lovers together and go beat the krap out of that so-called breeder!! :( I'm going to go over to my friend's house today, if she has time, and take my camera and perhaps get some pics and more detailed information. I will update this later in the day! ;)

Just talked to my friend and she and her husband have decided they can't part with the babies!!! :) They will have a wonderful home and be spoiled rotten!! I am so happy for them!! :p

I just want to thank everyone for their interest in finding forever homes for these little ones!! There's no bigger heart than that of a Yorkie lover!! ;)

That is just WONDERFUL!!! :yay_jump: All's well that ends well!!! They won't be sorry they kept these babies...

Oh that is greata news! I am glad they will be getting spoiled like they truly deserve. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help them out.

Yeppurrrr! The Toto and I came down to give my Mom's caretakers a break and will be returning to Colorado on the 31st. It is as cold here as it is in Colorado!! brrrrrrr :eek: What happened to all the wonderful Bama sunshine? It's like we drag a little Arctic blast everywhere we go!! ;)

Yeah...that warm weather skooted out a few days ago...but hey, it's still much warmer than it was. Next time you are in town (or in state :rolleyes: ) let me know in advance of the weekend. I will treat you to some Dreamland! If you are out and about during the evenings this week--let me know, you are more than welcome to dinner on me if you find you have free time.

Just saw your post! Thanks!! Hopefully this summer I will actually make a trip home and can do a few things I actually want to do! :) Getting together sounds like a great idea .... Dreamland? ..... yummmmmm!!! If someone opened a place like that here in CO .... they could retire comfortably in short time!! :cool: Next time, I will definitely let you know!!

We flew back to CO yesterday and today I was treated to the absolute worse migraine I can remember!! :( I slept most of the day and feel sooo much better, but still pretty krappy!! Can hardly wait for tomorrow ... I know it will be a good day! ;)
